RE: Taylor Haight Reference Letter
To whom it may concern:
My name is Mariah Neill, and | am a special education teacher at Bryan
Elementary School for Lexington Public Schools. | am writing regarding Miss Taylor
Haight. Please consider reading my reference letter for Miss Taylor Haight, as the goal
of this document is to highlight her skills and reference her exceptionality as it pertains
to a school system. | have known and worked with Miss Haight for over a year as a
special education teacher at Bryan Elementary School in Lexington, Nebraska. Bryan
Elementary is a K-5 dual-language program, where half of the students receive
instruction in English and the other half in Spanish. After each week, the students switch
to the opposite language. Roughly 36 students are receiving special education services
at Bryan Elementary, and they are split between Miss Haight, myself, and a third special
education teacher. Taylor primarily has the third and fourth graders on her caseload.
Miss Haight demonstrates various skills while fulfiling her position as a special
education teacher. While attending to her caseload of students and implementing
special education services through push-in and pull-out services, Taylor manages
Paperwork and executes Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, collaborates
with numerous individuals to increase the education and success rate of her students,
finds alternative achievement opportunities for her students, uses and engages with
technology, attends training to increase her skills in reading and behavior management,
and reflects on everything she does to grow personally and professionally.
Miss Haight would be an asset to any position in the field of education. Her hard
work and determination are unparalleled, and her devotion to her students does not
stop in the classroom. As a co-worker, fellow special educator, peer, and friend, | am
confident that her dedication and passion for her career and students will allow her to
achieve greatness wherever she goes. | am happy to answer or assist more. My
number is 402-209-4106, Please feel free to contact me whenever. Thank you for your
time and consideration.

‘To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Taylor Haight.
‘Taylor and I worked together in the special education department at Pershing
elementary for Lexington Public Schools since August of 2020.
Her responsibilities included providing direct special education services to 4th
and 5th graders, writing IEP’s and progress reports as well as managing
paraprofessionals. During the course of her employment, Taylor showed
herself to be very adept at completing paperwork in a thorough and timely
manner as well as communicating information to other members of the team.
Organization is a great strength of Taylor’s as is her knowledge and
understanding of technology. She was always willing to share her knowledge
with others.
‘Taylor took every opportunity given to her to learn more in her role as a special
education teacher. She attended many trainings where she learned new
techniques and then implemented what she learned with her students. In
working with students, Taylor gained good rapport with her students and
seemed to thoroughly enjoy working with them.
Overall, Taylor is a very organized and efficient person. I highly recommend
Taylor as a special education teacher.
