Some people say that if marketers can differentiate a simple product like water you can

differentiate anything...Do you think this is true? Do you think this is a good thing or not?
Discuss.

ANSWER
Yes, it is true that marketers can differentiate a simple product. Like if we start with water it’s
from different brands and labeling. They can relate them with their origin of filling or their
manufacturing. To cite an example, Nestle water is different from other water manufacturing
companies such as Aqua and Danone S.A. While bottling premium natural mineral waters and
high-quality filtered water, Nestlé Waters is working on the protection of natural aquifers all
over the globe. It depends upon the marketer how he differentiates things properly if he is able
to make difference between things then can be called a good marketer. So I totally agree with
this marketing tact since marketers work to provide firms a competitive edge and build
convincing USPs that differentiate their goods from those of rivals.
