REVIEW FILM “MIDWAY”

Director: Roland Emmerich

Producers: Roland Emmerich, Harald Kloser
Screenwriter: Wes Tooke
Duration: 138 minutes
Languange: English
Genre: History, War, Drama

The film "Midway" tells the story of aviators and military sailors on the aircraft
carrier USS Enterprise when facing the Pearl Harbor attack in December 1941. The Japanese
attack was carried out without warning and destroyed the American military base in Hawaii.
The attack was carried out when America was in a neutral position during World War II. In
the film, it is told, America has actually been warned about the attack by Edwin Layton
(Patrick Wilson), a military intelligence officer, But this fact was not taken for granted by the
White House.

If not addressed immediately, the US will suffer a major defeat in the Pacific.
Luckily, thanks to the help of a cryptanalyst Joseph Rochefort (Brennan Brown), they
managed to detect the code for planning the Midway Island attack by the Japanese. The code,
identified as "AF" was also successful in convincing the US government at the White House
to approve preparations for war at Midway.
