From earthquakes to volcanic eruptions to super typhoons, the

Philippines seems to be a disaster-prone country. Based on what I’ve
learned and my own observations, most of us know that the
Philippines rests on the Pacific's Ring of Fire, which is prone to
earthquakes and volcanoes. Second, our country is located just above
the equator, facing the western Pacific with little else to protect it
from hurricanes before they hit land. Storms are fueled by the warm,
tropical waters that produce approximately 20 typhoons each year.
Next, the Philippines' young, poor population is increasing, with more
than 60% of the population residing in coastal zones. Lastly, hillsides
that have been stripped of their trees have fewer roots to hold them
together, which might result in mudslides if they are hit by large
bursts of rain. Rainstorms created mudslides in areas where there
had been deforestation. The soil choked streams, causing stagnation
and cholera outbreaks later on. But in general, Philippines is a
disaster-prone country due to it’s geography, most Filipino citizens
are not prepared for disasters and our government does not pay too
much attention to the country’s preparedness for disasters.
3. Education offers us information about our society and surroundings and hones
our talents to use them for the better. Education also enables us to broaden our
own ways of looking at our lives, preparing us to have our own points of view and
form our own critiques of exceptional aspects of life. Education nowadays isn't
always a system of gaining data. In recent years, any interested person has had
access to massive amounts of data and information through exceptional websites
and e-primarily based platforms. But, can data be converted into information
without schooling? Only schooling can educate us to interpret exceptional
problems and activities in our lives. We can examine this now not only via the
instructions in our textbooks, but also from our teachers and professors who
guide us on the way to studying the books. We also learn from our own
experiences through practical stories and hands-on training. In a nutshell,
schooling enables us to accumulate information, talents, values, and attitudes
that enable us to make knowledgeable decisions, lead significant lives, and adopt
energetic roles in present-day society. Since the start of 2020, we have been
going through a disaster of significant proportions. The COVID-19 pandemic has
been wreaking havoc throughout the world, frightening our lives and livelihoods.
Therefore, all of the enrolled college students in schools, faculties, and
universities have not been able to visit their establishments for nearly a year
because of the regulations imposed to test the unfolding of the radical
coronavirus for the month of March 2020. This has hurt college students
immensely. When thousands of younger people have been advised to live at
home with the different individuals in their households, and whilst the academic
establishments have remained closed, online schooling seems to be the best
opportunity to ensure the continuity of schooling of those college students. But
the query remains as to whether or not we have been organized to utilise those
alternative ways of supplying schooling without diluting the quality of schooling
to be imparted to our college students. Well-known online education remains out
of reach for many students in our schools, faculties, and universities who have
limited or no access to computers and internet connectivity at home. We still
don't have any statistics on how many students have access to broadband
internet, 4G smartphones, tablets, laptops or laptop computer systems, or other
technology essential for online classes. It has additionally been observed that, in
lots of cases, there may be only one 4G cellphone per household, which could be
shared with the aid of using the incomes of individuals within their own circle of
relatives suffering to keep up with their shrinking livelihood possibilities. The
youngsters at home, of diverse ages, are left jostling for that handiest tool within
their own circle of relatives. After all, the stress in these households is intense.
Jobs are being misplaced, and wages are being reduced. Therefore, most of the
younger human have been simply staying at home for months with no sign of
formal schooling, not to mention nice schooling, which is important for
information crises and reaching a more sustainable future.
