A brand brief is a comprehensive overview of exactly what a brand is and isn't. It outlines
the objectives, goals, values, and vision of your brand, allowing anyone involved with creating
brand assets to communicate the direction, purpose, and positioning of the business as clearly
as possible.

A good brief offers clarity in three key components: challenges, objectives and budget. More
information is always better, but these are the bare minimum. For agencies to understand the
market challenges, clients should provide sufficient visibility into the overall brand and marketing
strategy.

A brand descriptor is a shorthand version of the brand description. For example, a brand
description like “Product X is the most powerful and convenient way to connect with the
people who matter most” converts into a descriptor like this: “Powerful business connection”.
Descriptors can be descriptive taglines.

Brand value

 brand value. us. [ U ] MARKETING, FINANCE. the financial value of having

customers who will pay more for a particular brand: A company's brand value
depends on its reputation.
 What are examples of brand values? A few examples of brand values include ethical
sourcing and manufacturing, environmental consciousness, products built to last,
diversity and inclusion, operational transparency, and giving back to the
community.

 Brand value is the monetary worth of your brand, if you were to sell it. If your
company were to merge or be bought out by another business, and they wanted to
use your name, logo, and brand identity to sell products or services, your brand
value would be the amount they would pay you for that right. This is market-based
brand value. Another way to think of brand value is in terms of replacement cost
(cost-based brand value). In this sense, brand value is the amount you would need
to spend to design, execute, promote and amplify a totally new brand to the same
level as your old one. That figure might include the cost of hiring a design agency,
the time and effort spent on marketing and social media strategy, the cost of
advertising, PR outreach and sponsorship, and so on.

What is brand identity? A brand identity is made up of what your brand says, what your values
are, how you communicate your product, and what you want people to feel when they interact
with your company. Essentially, your brand identity is the personality of your business and a
promise to your customers.

Brand identity in many ways is the visual (symbol or illustration) aspect of a brand. Think of
the Nike 'swoosh' or Apple's apple—those are two instances where the identity of a brand is
connected with a symbol or visual aspect. Building brand identity must have a strong visual
image to link the brand.

Branding vision

 Brand vision refers to the ideas behind a brand that help guide the future. When the
brand vision clicks, it reflects and supports the business strategy, differentiates from
competitors, resonates with customers, energizes and inspires employees and partners,
and precipitates a gush of ideas for marketing programs.

 Whereas your mission statement defines your brand's goals, objectives and

approach, the vision statement describes the long-term impact you want to make
with your mission. More simply stated: the mission describes what your brand aims to
achieve and how you will achieve it

 Amazon. Vision statement: To be Earth's most customer-centric company; to build a

place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy
online. This statement communicates that Amazon wants to provide customers with
anything they might want.

Brand mission

A brand mission statement clearly communicates a brand's purpose, objectives and how it

plans to serve its audience. It is action-oriented and gives readers an idea of what your
business does and what impact it wants to make. This statement may shift over time as the
company grows and redefines its goals.
