Script for Curator in the Museum

Curator 1(JOLINA): Good afternoon everyone, and welcome to this special exhibit, where we
celebrate the beauty and rich heritage of the Filipino culture.

My name is JOLINA BACALSO, and I am honored to be joined by my colleague

Curator 2 (ALIZA): Hi everyone, my name is Princess Aliza Torrente for this presentation.
Together, we will be introducing you to an incredible digital artwork that speaks to the heart of
what it means to be Filipino. The theme of this digital art is "I Am Filipino, I Value My Culture
and Identity, I Love Me."

Curator 1(JOLINA): The title of this piece is Preserving our Legacy: A Tribute to Filipino
Heritage. As you approach the artwork, you will see a figure at the center of the composition.
This is a representation of a typical Filipino person, dressed in traditional clothing and
surrounded by symbols of Filipino culture. Behind the figure, you can see the music notes, that
represents the traditional musical form in the Philippines.

Curator 2 (ALIZA): The background also features the Baybayin, the ancient Filipino alphabet,
and the traditional church, reflecting the religious and spiritual traditions of the Philippines. In
the foreground, there are textiles, showcasing the rich weaving traditions of the Filipino people,
and the Philippine flag, symbolizing the pride and unity of the nation.

Curator 1(JOLINA): This digital artwork is a powerful expression of Filipino identity, a

celebration of the culture, traditions, and values that make the Philippines unique. The figure at
the center represents each and every one of us, embodying the love and pride that we have for
our heritage.

Curator 2 (ALIZA): The elements surrounding the figure are symbols of the rich cultural
tapestry that weaves together to create the fabric of Filipino identity. This artwork is a
celebration of the unique and beautiful aspects of Filipino culture that make us proud to be who
we are.

[Question and Answer portion]

Curator 1(JOLINA): At this point, we would like to open the floor for a few questions from our
audience. If you have any questions about the artwork or the meaning behind it, please feel free
to ask.

[Sample question and answer]

Audience Member (BADET): Can you tell us more about the traditional church featured in the
artwork?

Curator 2 (ALIZA): Of course! The traditional church in the artwork represents the significant
role that religion plays in Filipino culture. Christianity, specifically Roman Catholicism, was
introduced to the Philippines by Spanish colonizers and has since become an important part of
the country's religious and cultural heritage.

Audience Member(ANDREA): Can you tell us more about the use of the Baybayin in the
artwork?

Curator 1(JOLINA): Of course! The Baybayin, which is featured in the background of the
artwork, is an ancient Filipino alphabet that predates the Spanish colonization of the
Philippines. It is a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines and its indigenous
roots. Today, the Baybayin is being revitalized and used in modern contexts, as a way of
preserving and celebrating Filipino identity and culture.

Curator 1(JOLINA): In conclusion, I hope that this artwork inspires you to reflect on the beauty
and significance of your own cultural heritage. Whether you are Filipino or from another part of
the world, I hope that you can appreciate the richness and diversity of human culture, and the
importance of valuing, preserving, and loving our traditions.

Curator 2 (ALIZA): Thank you for joining us today, and we hope you have enjoyed this special
exhibit. We believe that by understanding and celebrating our cultural heritage, we can build a
more connected and harmonious world.
