Reducing Unemployment Through a Co-operative Movement

Abstract
The cooperative is the basis for the overall transformation of social and economic problems of citizens.
According to Berk, a cooperative is a voluntary and democratic association of persons with variable
membership and variable capital, whose members have pooled themselves and their resources on a mutual
and self-help basis to form a business society that seeks to solve a socio-economic situation. problem
According to Amahal, a co-operative is defined as an association usually incorporated with economic
objectives, formed by or for persons or co-operatives having common needs, approximately equal voice in
management, providing approximately equal or proportional contributions to capital, deriving reasonable
services and benefits from it.
The study was conducted to find out how employment was reduced through cooperative momentum.
The research focuses on studying various reasons because there is huge employment in India now. The
recent covid-19 crisis is also one of the reasons for unemployment.
The unemployment rate in India has been increasing over the years. This article aims to analyse the
factors leading to unemployment and its impact on the Indian economy. The study focuses on how the
employment rate plays a major role in the overall development of the economy. The study uses secondary
sources of data and focuses on the current scenario of unemployment in rural and urban areas. The article
analyses how population growth, poverty, illiteracy, inflation and lack of full employment can lead to a
slowdown in economic growth. The paper discusses the problems faced by the economy due to the high
unemployment rate and recommends strategies to improve the current employment situation in the country.

Objectives
To examine whether the duration of unemployment is strongly influenced by the level of education, using
the analysis of the school-to-work transition process.
To show real evidence of a correlation between length of education and length of unemployment.
Recognize the socio-economic characteristics associated with cooperative societies.
To examine the mismatch between the level of education and work in the early stage of working life, taking
into account the minimum criterion for entry into employment.

Methodology

Data and information for research are collected through articles, research papers, various websites such as
YouTube and Twitter, and various research websites. The information collected was processed taking into
account the basis of cooperation, which is the basis of the general transformation of social and economic
issues. This study was done to examine how the cooperative movement reduced employment. This study
focuses on how the employment rate plays an important role in the overall development of the economy.
The study includes how the cooperative movement is helping reduce unemployment in the Indian economy.
