In satisfaction of the obligation to the teaching profession, the educator should obey his

fail to disclose a material fact related to competency and qualifications.
3. Shall not assist any entry into the profession of a person known to be unqualified in respect to
character, education, or other relevant attribute.
4. Shall not knowingly make a false statement concerning the qualifications of a candidate for
a professional position.
6. Shall not disclose information about colleagues obtained in the course of professional service
unless disclosure serves a compelling professional purpose or is required by law.
8. Shall not accept any gratuity, gift, or favor that might impair or appear to influence

4. Agree or disagree.
“A teacher shall not disclose information about colleagues obtained in the course of
professional service unless disclosure serves a compelling professional purpose or is
required by law.”
I strongly agree that a teacher or any teachers should not give information about another teacher
or colleagues, but only if it affects their outside working hours, but obviously if something
serious was to happen with a said teacher that could affect the school, student(s) or teachers, then
something would have to be done about it, if the school need to find out about a teacher, then
they should ask the teacher to get a police report on the said individual, from the country he/she
is in now and also their home country. There was a case in my school where a teacher was
working, but unknown to the personal/ management section of the school. It was later found out
that the person was wanted for a serious crime in his/her home town. So certain things I can
agree on, but if more serious things that involve the school then I would certainly disclose
information, after all teachers are meant to be professional adults and a pillar of the community.
5. Give/outline your personal advice for a teacher to attain the components of the “ethical
