Please introduce yourself:

- Good morning/afternoon to all, My name is Frenester Kidin. I am a M&E engineer with more than 5
years experience in construction field especially in M&E services. My first job was with Country Garden
Pacific View Sdn Bhd for around 3 year. I was appointed as M&E engineer in this company. After that,
I’ve joined Horizon Engineering (M) Sdn bhd which is my current company as senior M&E engineer.

Can tell us about your work scope:

- I have involve in Construction field especially in M&E services from the beginning of my career. Thus,
I am familiar with M&E services such as fire fighting, sanitary plumbing, air conditioner, mechanical
ventilation and electrical works. My main scope is to overseeing all aspects of the project starting from
budget estimation, schedule arrangement, material ordering, Autocad drawing, solving technical
issues, meeting with client/ consultants & authorities, testing and commissioning up till CPC phase.
Basically, I’m incharge of very single aspect of the project to ensure the project going smoothly.

Why do you leave your current company:

- What I can say is that I have contributed and achieve a lot in my current company. And I grew so
much that I’m in a different level now. So as my priorities and what I want to contribute has shifted. I
am looking for something that will be a better fit for my skill set and where I want to go in my
career.Based on the job description provided by Sunway, this role is a good match for me where I can
excel. I’m also impressed with Sunway sustainability effort up till today and would to be a part of it.

I heard that HR told me that because of your workload:

-Yes. Because I feel like some of the works supposed to be handled by other departments. Sometimes,
those works have shifted my focus from my major scope and career.

What is your challenge throughout your career:

-My frequent challenge would be having multiple tasks on hand at the same time,How do I deal with
it? I will make a priority list first by arranging the task from most urgent to less urgent sequence. For
example, I would request time extension for each of the tasks from client. If there is no time extension
given, I will put these tasks on top of my list and try to focus on them first before proceeding to the
others.

Are you willing to work overtime:

Yes. I would be willing to work overtime to complete the task given. Because as a employee in a
company, we will need to consider about our responsibility and the impact of what we’re doing to our
company. And I think it is the nature for construction field.

Short term & long term goal:

-My short term goal would be I would like to explore the management technique in a big company
like yours. By doing so, I will improve myself from time to time and seek guidance from superior during
my services in this company and at the same time I would like to prove my ability.
Long term goal is I want to get involved in higher management and have my own team to lead. I also
would like to go for Professional Engineer path which I was keen to have the title after all these year
of experiences in M&E fields.

What do you know about our company:

What do I know about Sunway is that Sunway is a big and well known company. It consists of many
subsidiaries such Sunway Property, Sunway Medical Centre & Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd. I know
Sunway is have lots of projects throughout Malaysia in property development.

Have you involved in any high rise project before:

Yes, I do have experiences in high rise project at the beginning of my career in my previous company
which is CGPV. I have handled two tower of 11th storey hotel building.The building itself is a hotel for
the guest and the top of it is penthouse which is owned by Johor Royal Family.

What expected salary:

My expected salary would be RM5000 for basic salary without allowance.

My current salary:

My current salary is 4.5k for the basic with additional monthly allowance for phone, house and petrol
which is around RM1k provided by company.

Is your salary negotiable:

I’m afraid not because currently I do have my own commitment and I think Rm5000 as a basic salary
would be within the range for my skills & experience.

Notice period:

My notice period in this company is 1 month.

What is strength and weakness:

I think my strength would be on site coordination, problem solving and communication with
consultants, contractors and authorities. And after all these years working in construction, I do believe
these skills sets are important to ensure the project run smoothly.

As for my weakness, I tend to accept every task given to me without considering time availability. And
as result, I will be having lots of task on hands every single time and need to put extra time to complete
everything. But now, I’m trying to handling it by focusing on my major task before accepting a new
one.

project that will I be handling?
