1 GENERAL INFORMATION AND PROPERTIES OF FILLING

MACHINE
1.1 Intended use and description ofcharacteristics
Filling machine is produced from materials that can come into contact with foodstufl-s
and is intended for filling food liquids such as wine. rare fruitjuices, milk, vinegar, oils
with
smaller viscosity of watel and similar. Filling machine is not intended for filling-liquids by the
addition of various gases, like COz. Liquids are filled in bottles and other plasti-c packaging.
with filling machine works one person. operation of packaging is done by hand. The
direction of feeding can be from left to right or other way. Activatlng the charge cycle is
manual, as followed the diverter valve is on the right side ofthe bottle. the shift mechanism
is pneumatic and for working requires a source of compressed air. Replenishment ofthe
packaging with the liquid is acting on the hydrostatic principle. whenthe machine reaches
the
level of the chtyge. it stops automarically. The liquid in the iank is filled with the pump or
manually. The tank has a fill port with a pipe, overflow and multi-level index. It also has the
possibility to connect on gas to create a protective atmosphere and the possibil.ity of a level
switch for the filling pump.

1.2 Description of the filling machine components

1) Technical nameplate with
Picture l- Fillin.q mathine - front tiev information about the product.
2) The label with safety
marks. A detailed decription is
found in chapter 2.1
3) Switching valve. Used to
control pneumatic actuator and
raisingJowering of the filling pipes
mechanism.
4) Sliding tape. Reduces
friction, so that the movement of
the bottles requires minimal effort
and at the same time prevents the
wear of the table.
5) Fence. Guides boftles on
the table. It is adjustable in widrh,
for large or small bottles, so as to
allow the use of bottles with
diameter fo 50 mm to 180 mm.
6) Slidingtabte. Guidingtabte
adjusts height of bottles from 100
mm to 360 mm in 12 steps of 20
mm.
7) Shelf for accessories or
installation of the pump and filter.
8) Restraint. It positions the
center of bottle, axis of the filling pipes. It can be mounted on the both sides,
for the bottling
operation with the left or right side.
9) Protective glass protects against unauthorized access in the area ofmoving parts and provides
protection against possibility of a direct injection of liquid and provides ui

developments during filting. using the protective glasi during operation is required.

determines the charge of the bottle.
This may be filled completely or

settings for different diameter
bottles.
32) Connector ofthe vent tube is locking latch assernbly filling pipe and connects vent pipe to the
charging pipc.
33) The valve alkrws ckrsing of the filling pipe so that can be cleaned and inspected, even when
the systenr is filled with liquid and independently ofthe other pipes. When it is opened it also
protects the connector of the vent tube fr0nr unwanted switching.
34) Unionjoint lbr tast removal oftubes fbr easy access fbr cleaning.
35) A spring clamp provides the protection oftubes and quick disassembly without the use of
tools.
36) Screw aJlows leakage. drainage and access to the interior ol the body of the filling pipe during
cleaning.
37) The opening of the vent tube in the head of pipe allows to exit the air and the potential foams.
38) Ratchet ser\ies as a latch that locks the assembly of the filling pipe from accidental switching.

6 WORKING WITH THE FILLING MACHINE

6.1 Initial conditions
The der ice nlusr be set to the dimension ofbottles which will be lilled. The procedure
:: de:.nbed in chapter 5.

The device must be connected to a source of compressed air-' Befbre connecting check
$ hether the switching valve handle is in the down position. Supply pressure must be between
6 and 7 bar, setting the working pressure at convenient unit must be such as to enable the
operation and that no damage bottles or plastic containers - liom 2 to 5 bar.
The tank must be filled with the appropriate liquid to be filled in packaging. Depending
on the method of lilling the liquid can be pumped into the reservoir via a tube through the
filling connection to the bottom of the tank, may be of the above via holes in the cover, or
manualy with the bucket with an open lid.

6.2 Filling
I ) Wc place empty bottles or bags on the guide and push the filling pipe [o thc place, which
provides palm on the guide.
2) We manually activate valve (pneunutic switch) that triggers the operation of the mechauisnr /
move pipe from the upper to the lower-working position, At the same time there is an
automatic reliance tap and tilling the bottle to the preset level. When the lir.luid level reaches a
new one, load automatically shul down.
3) While you can lift the palm and tx the guide lay new-empty packaging
4) With manual switch{)iT valve (pneumatic switch) triggers displacement mechanism with taps
in the uppcr-u ail.ing position.
5) Raise the palm on the guide (if you have not done in point 3) and manually push the filled
packagirg on the Buide out of the lilling position,
6) Lower the palm on the guide and move the new-enrpty packaging under the filling pipe.
7t Repeat \teps 2 through 6.

6.3 Procedure after the completed filling

At the end of the charging rnechanism is needed to let the lower posilion and from the
device to turn otf the power of compressed air. Befbre disconnecting check whether the
switching valve handle is in the down positionl
The remaining liquid in the tank is emptied through the drain connection. The remaining
liquid in the filling pipes is emptied by manual opening-activating tap. This is done, so that
under the tap is sticked deeper cup, which is then gently pushed upwards to the sealing
rubber. in order to open the pipe. Of residual liquid from the interior of the pipe connections
and llows into the glass. Afier draining step back glass.
The empty filling niachine we wash according to instructions desoribed in Chapter 4.2.
