Scope This standard is applicable to the unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pips (hereinafter referred to as pipe) to, be used as the piping for the conveyance of general fluid, excluding unplasticized polyvinyl chloride pipes for water service specified in JIS K 6742. Remark: In this standard the particulars in| | are in accordance with the inter- national system of Units (SI) and given for reference only. 2, Material and Manufacturing Method. - Pipe shall be manufactured from the vinyl chloride polymers as the main material without adding plasticizer by the extrusion molding. 3, Classification Pipes shall be classified according to the nominal pressure as shown in Table 1. Table 1 Classifications af pipes Nominal pressure okffemt (2 MPa) Applicable Standards: JIS B 7502-External Micrometers JIS B 7507-Vernier Calipers JIS K 6742-Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride Pipes for Water Works Service JIS K 7113-Testing Method for Tensile Properties of Plastics JIS K 8150-Sodium Chloride JIS K 8541-Nitrice Acid JIS K 8576-Sodium Hydroxide (Reagent Chemicals) JIS K 8951-Sulfuric Acid JIS Z 8401-Rules for Rounding off of Numerical Values Reference Standards: \ JIS Z 8203-SI Units and Recommendations for the Use of their Multiples and of Certain other Units ” 2 K 6741-1975 4. Quality 4.1 Golor of Pipe Standard color of the pipe shall be grey. But other colors may be permitted to use according to the agreement between the parties concerned. 4.2 Appearance and Shape (1) Internal and external surfaces of the pipe should be smooth without the harmful flaw, longitudinal streak, crack, distortion and other defects, (2) Pipe shall be practically straight and also its section shall be practically regular circle and its both ends should be vertical to its axis. (3) Processing of the end parts of the pipe as faucet and spigot according to the agreement between the parties concerned is justifiable, But when the pipes are used for the coveyance under pressure, the faucet and spigot of the pipes shall be joined, and conform to the water pressure test under 5.5. 4.3 Dimension _ Dimension of the pipe shall be in accordance with that given in Table 2 and the following each clause. (1) Basic dimensions of nominal one and external diameter shall be in common with VP and VU. (2) The maximum and minimum external diameters shall be the maximum and minimum values in the measured values of the external diameter at an arbitrary spot. (3) The average external diameter shall be the arithmetical average value of the measured values in more than two directions at equal spaces with one at an arbitrary spot or the value obtained by dividing the measured value of circumference by the circular constant of 3. 142. (4) Approximate internal diameter and reference weight (calculated at a specified gravity of 1,43) are shown as the reference and these are not a part of the standard, (5) Standard of the length of pipe shall be 4000410 mm. But the length may be other than this according to the agreement between the parties concerned. (6) Pipe shall be designated by affixing its classification in front of the nominal size such as VP50 or VUSO. 3 K 6741-1975 Teie6 | BL ger wet | see . - - - - - 2 008 stow | t89 | ve + bee? | zee - - - - - - ~ | 00s en9zs| 265 | s-e+ zeF |oco | - - - | - - - = | 009 gvese | oar | ove + oF | ozs " - = - - - - | 00s sugez | zFr ert ert | or - = . = - - - ost esocz| soe | 9+ s+ | oz - - - - - - - | ooF tsost | sre ert e1F | ove - - - - - - - ose ToLet | 862 wTt ut | ere | zg6tz} ose | zczt | test uF oTe ate | oo¢ 8sL6 osz ett or | z9z | rast ope | ett | Leer oF ot ugz | ose zs9 z0z ott so+ | 9tz | 6zrot| Fer I+ | €7OT sor ere 9tz | o0z THE #1 sot goF | sot | tozg oot | pit | 68 90F ote sgt | ost 6Ele Ter Bot soF | opr $9bb szL ott | ove s0F sor opt | szt Lelt zor Bot wot | rt | Gore oot | ott | 9°9 wor g0F eIT | Oot ostT 8 oF cot | 68 zozz ub sot | sis oF sor os | se s7e u goF cot | 92 as Lg sor | iF oF wor ol 59 ws | 9s | 0+ zot |o9 | zat | is | eor | ie | zot | vot | 09 | 05 ely wot zoF | er | ree op | gor | ore zot | cot | ay | oF = - - - - aS Te got | re | z0F c0F ae of - - -f : - |ow | sz [eo | re | zoF | ao | a | sz - - * . - - ore oz gor | Lz wor zor 9% oz - - - - - - | 9sz at gor | Lz zor zor ze or - - - - - > | we eI gor | ze zr z0F at et ar (cn) (os) (ww) cena) | Sine a (eoues | 0x01 | asus) | Sope | gwsonse | (wr) [C0282] 2220) aay | Oa | usones [eebcorar| (ans) vereu) | ee -wourp | Berane | Suoze | SW)| ee -wouna| 9fesase | poe-xeer| "wore rod | voyeur | 99m] ume) uo fuounp| E/N; ove) uma] uo xo | -wourrp| sadiem | conddy [Morty | “0X joouemonty| orea| go | Urmee|-morty | Fev lpowemorry joouemony | o¥eeg| seoMpIUL | xeowep rurexa, ssowOML xeuep Tear _|uonvon) aA aA =188810 z orden 4 K 6741-1975 4.4 Performance and the results shall conform to the s| Classification of test Tension test.
