Amendment 1 to ISO 8589:2007 (ISO 8589:2007/DAM 1:2012) contained in this document (EN ISO
8589:2010/prA1:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 34 ,,Food products" (Secretariat:
AFNOR, France), Subcommittee SC 12 ,,Sensory analysis" (Secretariat: IRAM, Argentina). The amendment
was submitted for parallel vote on the basis of the decision of CEN/SS C01 "Food products" and is to be
incorporated unchanged into European Standard EN ISO 8589:2010.
DIN's participation in the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) will be continued in the area of CEN/SS C01.
(Secretariat: CCMC) is in charge of the working committee NA 057-01-01 AA "Sensory analysis" of the
standards committee for food and agricultural products (NAL).
The issue date of the European draft standard was not yet fixed at the time of publication of this DIN EN ISO
draft; however, the prEN ISO will be distributed by the CCMC under the indicated prEN number for the CEN
survey as soon as possible. In order to allow the German public as long a period as possible for objections,
this draft standard was published in advance.
