What is Mary
Rose?
The Mary Rose was one
of the most speedy and
heavily armed warship
in the English fleet. It
sank in 1545 while it was
leading the attack on a
French invasionfleet in

Portsmouth harbor. It
has been debated.
 Most theories said

Why it Sank?
that it was
overloaded with
soldier, guns and
ammunition. Of the
400 crews and
soldiers on board,
feeer than 40 people
escaped since the
ship quickly
filled
with seawater and
sank.
 The Wreck
The wreckage was
rediscovered in 1971 by a team
of divers. Extraordinary finds
include more than 28,000
artifacts such as weapons,
tools, armor and
