Specific purpose : To inform the audience about the one of the most
transformative moments in history.

Central Idea : The world of today is once an idea and imagination of yesterday. What we have
right now is the inventions of the creative mind from the past that have result to industrial
revolution.

Thesis statement: The Industrial Revolution was one of the greatest transformative moments in
history, revolutionising the way humans worked, how it improved economies and how it affect
lives all over the world.

I. Introduction

A. Attention getter: Over the last century, there have been many significant changes in the way
we live. Comparing the life of the ancient people and the life of the people of the twenty first
century, many changes have occurred. Modern technologies and machines have been invented
and introduced to us that made our lives in this generation easier than the past.

B. Reason to listen: Industrial revolution changes the way we live.

C. Thesis statement: The Industrial Revolution was one of the greatest transformative moments
in history, revolutionising the way humans worked, how it improved economies and how it affect
lives all over the world.

D. Credibility Statement: Industrial revolution has a very long history but I have searched and
read credible information to support my credibility.

A. Industrial revolution revolutionized the way humans worked.

• The Industrial Revolution, changes manufacturing processes in Europe and the


United States, from hand production methods to using of machines in generating
items.
• The Industrial Revolution leads to the increase use of steam power and water
power that were used to power new TRANSPORTATION systems.
• Development of machine tools and the rise of the mechanized factory system arise
as the result of Industrial Revolution enabling the people to mass produced goods.

Transition: Now that I have already how industrial revolution revolutionized the way humans
worked. I will discuss next how industrial revolution help the economies prosper all over the
world.

B. Industrial revolution help the economies prosper all over the world.

 In the period 1760 to 1830, two Englishmen, William and John Cockerill, brought the
Industrial Revolution to Belgium by developing machine shops at Liège (c. 1807), which
causes Belgium to became the first country in continental Europe to be transformed
economically.
 In the mid-19th century

• In the late 19th and 20th centuries, Industrial Revolution continues to spread all
throughout the world where it to exploit many natural and synthetic resources not hitherto
utilized: lighter metals, new alloys, and synthetic products such as plastics, as well as
new energy sources.
• Combined with these were developments in machines, tools, and computers that gave
rise to the automatic factory. Although some segments of industry were almost
completely mechanized in the early to mid-19th century, automatic operation, as distinct
from the assembly line, first achieved major significance in the second half of the 20th
century.

Transition: And now that i have already discussed how industrial revolution begin ,I will discuss
next the important contributions of industrial revolution and and its effect to the society.

C. The Industrial Revolution did not happen all at once and change the world in a day or even a
few years. Instead, it built gradually to the point where it truly had changed the world. The
changes it created over time were so important that they should be called a revolution.

• The conveniences of city life created a demand for other products, such as clothing and
non-essential items that improved the quality of life. New technologies were invented to
meet the growing demand for these products, which lead to the first industrial factories.
Soon, people were moving into cities in greater numbers to find employment as factory
workers. This ushered in the next great revolution, known as the Industrial Revolution. In
this lesson, you will take a look at how industrialization and mass production furthered
progress, and how they have impacted our environment.
