Cape Sainte Marie (Malagasy: Tanjona Vohimena; French: cap


Cape Sainte Marie Special
Sainte-Marie), formerly known as Cape Romain and Cape St.
Mary,[2] is the southernmost point of Madagascar. It is situated in
Reserve
the Androy region 42 kilometres (26  mi) from Tsiombe. It is the IUCN category IV (habitat/species
location of the Cap Sainte-Marie Special Reserve, a nature reserve management area)[1]
which occupies most of the cape[3] and was created in 1962.[4]
