Story for Wattpad.

Mia’s POV:
I am angry. I’m pissed. Why would he do such? Why would he sell me to another fucking Mafia
family, after everything I’ve done for him and the mafia, its not like I’m some worthless piece of
shit daughter.
I go to the gym inside the house and I play with the punching bag. This punching bag and I go
way back since the time I turned thirteen. So many times I’m angry, I use it cause it’s the only
one that understands me besides my journal. Now, I’m extremely pissed because father has sold
me off to the biggest Mafia in the state, Black Rose. He said that he sold me off because he
needed money and the leader of Black Rose needs a girl to get married to his son so he could
become the next mafia leader. If only mother was still alive, she would have stopped him, it’s not
like she sees me as her child but she never liked the idea of a girl getting married early. I’m 19
for goodness sake, I’m not ready for marriage.
I go to my room to start packing, I don’t know when I’m supposed to leave considering the fact
that I did not wait for father to finish explaining, I stormed out of his office. And now I’m
grinning because no one dares to leave father’s presence without dismissal. He can’t do anything
cause I’m not even a part of the mafia anymore and what he would have done if I was, its
probably worse than you think. I finish packing and head down for breakfast, I’ve not eaten
anything since I woke up, I’m not that hungry but I have to eat considering I’m leaving this
godforsaken place soon and might not get to eat anything over there for a while. Breakfast
already started so I just sit at the table, father and Alina are the only ones at the table, my other
two brothers are nowhere to be found after the party they went to last night. Alina already knows
about my transfer because she snickers at me and wishes me good luck, father on the other hand
does not even look at me knowing he has done something very wrong. I dish my food and at that
moment, father’s phone rings.
He says a few Oks and Yes and he gets off the phone. He tells me to go get my stuff that I would
be leaving now, I go upstairs, haul my stuff downstairs and immediately I get downstairs, I see
two men who I assume are form Black Rose because they have the symbol on their hands. I
don’t wave as I leave because there is no use, I know father would be standing at the door
looking somber and all. We get to the car and they put my luggage in the boot. I enter the car and
we drive off, I’m sitting at the back seat and the men are at the front seat. I can’t sleep because
it’s dangerous so I just scroll through my phone when I realize that I have no connection to the
Claws Mafia, all the information about them on my phone is gone, I tell the men to stop the car
so I can destroy the phone, they stop the car, I put the phone on the floor and get out my gun, I
shoot the phone so no one can trace it. I get back in the car and we keep going, I finally fall
asleep and when I wake up, we are at the Black Rose mansion, I’ve been here before for business
so I recognize it. Some other men get my bags form the car and I am led inside.
Inside, there’s the Black Rose mafia (as in majority of the members) just having breakfast. Mr.
Rodriguez tells me to go up to my room to freshen up and I should come back down in five
minutes so he could introduce me to the others. No pleasantries just instruction, its not like I
wasn’t expecting that but still.
There is no need for me to freshen up so I go up to my room and just sit on the bed wondering
what the hell I’m going to do for five minutes, I go out to the balcony and just stare out there.
After four minutes, I go downstairs and I see them all still seated at the dinning area. Mr.
Rodriguez motions for me to have a seat. I seat and he begins to speak.

“So everyone, this is Mia and she would become a member of the mafia tomorrow, the ceremony
would take place in the hall and you all are expected to be there, is that understood?”
I see a few nods and I hear mumbles of ‘yes sirs’.
Mr. Rodriguez turns to me.
“Mia, this is your home and you are welcome here from tomorrow…he leans towards my ear and
says so quietly for only me to hear… most of them could be nice so just pick out the best ones”
He leaves so silently while I try to understand him. I’m standing at the dining area so awkwardly
so I decide to leave and as I turn to leave, I bump into someone. I’m about to apologize when I’m
suddenly flipped over and I’m on the floor and my back hurts but I ignore it because I’ve felt
pain worse than this. I stand up fast cause I can see a punch coming at my face I back away from
the person, it’s a hefty guy who is about twice my size, I know I can’t fight with him with my
bare hands. I take my gun from my jacket and I shoot him the leg, there’s a scream somewhere in
the dining and I notice that people have surrounded us. I lower my gun cause I don’t want to
shoot him again.

Black’s POV:
I’m sitting at the far corner of the dining area with my back turned to her. I’d rather not see her
face, whoever she is. Father introduces her to everyone and I’m waiting patiently to hear her
name, its Mia.
Father’s done and he leaves, I see him leave form the corner of my eye after he whispers that
Mia girl something. He’s probably telling her to be careful or something. I finally decide to look
at her and she’s standing at the other side of the dining and she looks lost, she’s about leave then
she bumps into Blade, my father’s right hand man. He suddenly flips her and she’s on the floor.
She stands up and backs away from him and then. Suddenly, there’s a gun in her hand, I honestly
did not see it coming, she whipped it out so fast that even Blade doesn’t see it, she shoots him in
the leg and he falls. Someone screams, I move closer to see what’s happening. As I move closer,
I can hear them speaking.
“What’s your name?” she asks
“The name’s Blade” he replied groaning in pain. “You just shot my fucking leg”
“And you just flipped me over, I’m sorry for bumping into you like that but I’m not sorry for
your leg”
No one gives Blade such a reply and gets away with it, he stands up again and she shoots his
second leg.
“If you try to stand up again to attack me, I swear, I will kill you” she says this with such
calmness I’m scared for Blade for a moment. Then Blade laughs, he stands up and leaves, then
he stops and without turning back he tells her.
“You’ve got some nerve to talk to me like that baby girl”
He leaves and I turn to her to see her reaction, there’s no emotion on her face. I’m trying to pick
something out when she turns and looks directly at me and we’re staring at each other, I break
the stare and I go upstairs to see Blade. He’s sitting in his room trying to treat his wounds, such
injury doesn’t really hurt Blade considering what he has already gone through. He one of the best
Mafia men we have but sometimes, his ego gets the best of him. As my name goes, so is my
attitude. When you are born into a Mafia family and your father is the leader of the biggest
mafia, you and mercy would be enemies.

I’m at the door of his room and its funny because he’s treating a wound given to him by a
female.
I started laughing and that’s when Blade notices me, he scowls at me and turns back to his
wound, I don’t try to soothe him because he does not need it. He’s Blade. I head back downstairs
and on my way, I see her. For like five seconds we are both held in a trance until I break it, I
don’t know why this keeps happening. As I get downstairs, someone tells me that father was
looking for me. I go to his office, and I knock, I hear a grunt so I decide to go in.
Father’s at his window and his back was facing the me.
“Have a seat Black, you need to know something which would keep us as a mafia stable”
I sit realizing that this is important, I just hope it is not long, I don’t really like staying in one
place for so long.
“You see that girl I just brought, I bought her from her father in exchange for money which he
needed. My point for calling you here is to let you know that you are going to marry that girl
when you turn 25, I do not care what you think you will marry that girl. I promised your mother
before she died that I would get you married before the age of 28 so you will marry her,
understood?
“Father, I understand what you have told me, but forgive me father, I would not get married to
her, I don’t even know her besides father I am not interested in getting married to anyone so,
marriage to me is bullshit, if it’s a child you want me to give you, I’ve got women out there who
can give me children at any time. Father I am not going to get married to that girl no matter
what”
Now I’m fuming, how on earth does he expect me to accept the marriage. Father keeps looking
at me then he says,
“Black, I have spoken to you like a father now, I am speaking to you as the present leader of this
mafia, you will get married to Mia and even if I die today, you will still keep this promise
because I also made it to your mother, is that understood?”
“Yes sir” I say resignedly because there’s nothing else I can do.
I leave his office and head to the gym because I need to clear my head, I hold my thoughts for
the punching bag.
I head to my room first to change then I leave for the gym, it’s the only place where I can calm
down when I am annoyed and right now I’m more than annoyed. I get to the gym and I know
there’s someone else here, I can hear punches on the bag. I go in deeper to see who it is, it’s a
female but her back is turned to me so I can’t see who she is. I really don’t care who she is, she’s
using my punching bag, of course there are other punching bags around but this particular one is
mine, and she needs to know that.
“HEY!” I shout “You’re using my punching bag so get off”
She turns and I realize that its Mia

Mia’s POV:
I’m not really pissed, I just really need to get my mind of the fact that I’m here against my will
and I just shot some guy even before I became a member of the Mafia. I head to the gym with
some directions from a maid. I got there and thankfully for me, there was no one there. I sighted
one particular punching, it was in the corner so I picked it. I guess I picked it because it seemed
to suit me, at the moment, I am lonely so me and this punching bag are gonna do some talking. I
decide to back the entrance of the gym cause I needed an enclosed area to think.
After about twenty minutes, I heard footsteps behind me, I wasn’t interested in knowing who the
person was so I didn’t bother to look back. The footsteps stopped then I heard someone shout.
“Hey! You’re using my punching bag so get off”
I turn around wondering who the fuck is the asshole disturbing my peace. I’m shocked when I
see its Black Rodríguez, I am suddenly blinded by light.
Ok let’s stop here, so here’s the deal, I have special powers like I can control people with my
mind but I can’t really control it, I can basically do anything with my mind like telekinesis,
levitation and all other mythical stuff. Sometimes, my mood can affect it, like there was a time I
was angry and I broke the windows in the mansion. That was the first time mother and father
found out that I had powers.
So here I am, and I can only see red cause I’m angry, I can control whatever I’m doing cause I
can’t even see what I’m doing. I can finally stop and I hear a thud. My eyes clear up and I see
Black on the floor. He looks a mess; I don’t know how my powers affected him but he did not
look ok.
I quickly rush to his side and I help him up but he flinches away from me.
“I am so sorry, I don’t know what happened” I’m still trying to apologies when he looks at me
and I see his eyes are golden brown then he asks “What are you, I was just standing there and all
of a sudden, I’m carried up and thrown against the ground with great force, and you are standing
right there,” he points to where I was standing previously “and your eyes are white, you have
patterns on your skin and they keep flashing red, your hair turns white, honestly what are you?”
For that moment when he’s talking, he looks confused but when he stops talking, his face
becomes hard and its expressionless.
Of course I’ve heard this description several times from my mother’s scientist, they would
describe it with so much awe and my mum would nod her head and tell them to keep testing me.
God I hated my life, she put me through so much pain, they would make me drink different
mixtures that always burnt my tongues and would stick different needles through my body until
my grandmother would come in to stop them and carry me to my room in her hands. Now, both
grandmother and mother are dead. Mother always treated me like an outcast, making me do this
and that. God I hated it, she would lock me in a room and make me imagine this so it could come
to pass, she won’t give me food or water to see what starvation would do to my powers. I never
saw her as my mother, just one of those scientist I see on tv. When she died, I stopped showing
my powers, only my family knew of my powers. I began to hate my powers because they
reminded me of the pain my mother made me go through. I never used them for anything even
when I was fighting, I did not even know how to control it cause mother never gave me the
chance to.
These thoughts are bringing tears to my eyes but I quickly wipe them away incase Black sees
them. When I look at him, he’s looking at me and his perfectly shaped brows are furrowed. I
know I have to make him forget about the attack, I’m about to do that when on of the guards
walk in and sees us on the floor, he tells Black that his father requests to see him.
Black stands up and adjusts his shirt which was rumpled from the attack, he looks at me long and
hard then walks away.
I’m on the gym floor and wondering what to do to make him forget about the attack.
Black’s POV:
I’m walking to father’s office to see why he called me with the previous attack from Mia still in
my head, I have no idea what just happened but I’m going to find out. I’m going to get it out of
her whatever she did to me. No one overpowers me like that. I wasn’t even ready for the attack, I
don’t know what kind of powers she has but Iam going to find out. Maybe I should tell father but
thinking about it again, father may go through extreme measures to get the truth out of her. At
the same time, I’m supposed to get married to her and father might need to know.
Suddenly, I see people running and I see Blade so I stop him quickly to ask what is going on.
“The Ravens are attacking, one of the guards told me that they had managed to get into your
father’s office….”
I don’t even wait for him to finish, I rush to father’s office and I see him on the floor, he’s
covered in blood. He’s right leg is twisted in an odd angle. I could see that he did not go down
with a fight because there’s a gun at his side. Someone rushes past me and checks his pulse and
confirms what has already been confirmed. Mr. Rodriguez was dead which means I had become
the new leader of the mafia. I snapped back to reality and I realized that the siren was on which
signified that the Ravens had truly tried to attack, I turned around to leave father’s office but my
face was met with a gun, the owner was a Raven, I could see the symbol on his hand. I was about
to reach for my gun when suddenly, the Raven’s head was cut off.
His body fell limp at my feet and in front of me was Mia, her hair was stuck up in all directions
and the patterns were on her arms again but they were flashing gold, she looked at me and said,
“I’m sorry for the last time, am I forgive?”
There was nothing I could say so I just nodded my head.
Someone was about to attack Mia from behind but I quickly pulled her aside and shot the person
in the chest, I turned back to her and said “I’ll forgive you if you help me fight off the Ravens”
She grinned and said “At your service your highness”
We ran out of the office and I immediately faced a Raven, without thinking twice, I shot him in
the chest and his blood splattered on my face, I looked downstairs from the top and saw that
there were a lot of them there. I shot from the top, some of them saw me and started shooting
back but surprisingly none of them hit me, I looked to my right and right there was Mia and she
was holding her hand up like some kind of protection. I was confused and even before I tried to
ask her what happened, she explained saying, “I’ve got special powers, I’ll explain later right
now we have to fight”
Still confused, we managed to kill most of them and the rest ran off. I lost Mia during the fight
and I tried to find her but I couldn’t, I forgot about her after a while and went around trying to
make sure everyone was ok. I went to father’s office which was now my office. I looked out
through the balcony and saw the damage the Ravens had caused. The Ravens are the fifth biggest
mafia group and for some reason unfortunately only known to father, they despise us. They have
finally gotten their revenge by murdering my father. But what they do not know is that, no one
gets revenge on the Black Rose and gets away with it. We are going to fight back and they would
not expect it. I called Blade through the landline and told him to come up to my office. In less
than five minutes he was there. I turned around and there was Blade still looking all tensed up.
“Boss you called me”
“Blade, we need to start a plan to attack back, no one attacks Black Rose and gets away with it,
father’s funeral would be in the next three days, then we can start the attack plan. Tell the others
that they have three days to mourn”
“Yes Boss”
I nod and dismiss him but before he leaves, he says “Sorry for the loss Boss” he says this and
quickly leaves, not waiting for my reaction. I knew that I was supposed to be sad but my father
has never really been my father, he was a man of upholding his responsibilities, he never showed
love to anyone except my mother and now that she was dead, there was no none to show love to.
I was never a son to him, just a responsibility given to him by the universe. I’m not hurt by this; I
just wish he showed a little love to me. He truly was a great mafia leader, that’s all I can say
about him.
I go to my room to freshen up and on my way there, I see Mia but she doesn’t see me. She looks
like she’s going somewhere important and forgetting my need to freshen up, I follow her. She
goes underground, I have to remove my shoes so she won’t hear me coming, it’s not like I’m
planning to attack her, I just want to know what she’s up to. All of a sudden, she stops and she
says, “I know it’s you Black so stop sneaking”, I’m about to give an excuse when I realize that
there’s no point. I walk up beside her and she looks at me and asks “Why are you following
me?”
“I just want to know what you are up to besides I still need to understand your special power
stuff” she looks at me like she’s trying to decide if I’m telling the truth and then decides that I
am. We keep walking to wherever she’s going.
“How did you know it was me?” I ask
“I have no idea, all I know is that I knew it was you, it’s part of my powers”
“Where are you going and what are you going to do?” I asked with curiosity cause I realized I
had no idea of where we were going.
“We’re going to one of the underground rooms so I can discover my powers and don’t ask any
more questions until we reach there please, you don’t know how much pain I’m in right now”
I was more than confused as to what she was saying but I decide to be quite.

Mia’s POV:
I guess the time has finally come for me to discover what I had inside. I realized this after I killed
the Raven who tried to attack Black, my powers would help me to fight better.
Just reaching this decision is being very difficult for me cause I keep remembering the pain I had
to go through because of what does scientists did to me in that cold basement, what my mother
made me go through just so she could find out what I was capable of. Right now, I’m walking to
the underground room I discovered when I was fighting one of the Ravens and she chased me
down here. After slitting her throat, I decide to come back later and here I am walking with
Black to the room.
I really don’t know how I’m going to discover my powers since I don’t have anyone to teach me.
After a few turns, we finally reach there, I’m even surprised I can remember the way. The room
is dark but I brought along a torch with me, I put it on and for the first time I notice that it has a
punching bag in the corner, I’m surprised because I don’t expect it to be there. Black looks
around and then he asks
