Reduction of pollution from gas powered grass cutters.

BACKGROUND.

Most households and institutions as of recently have opted for the use of gas powered grass cuttters.
These grass cutters emit harmful emmsions like carbon monoxide (CO) , sulphur dioxide
(SO2),Nitrogen oxides (Nox) etc. These emmisons cause climate change in our enviroment , in
Zimbabwe since 1987 the country has experienced its six warmest years on record with daily minimum
and maximum temperatures having risen by approximately 2 degrees over the past century. The
emmisons also affect our bodies , Nitrogen oxides cause lung irritation and weaken the body defenses
against respitory infections such as pneumonia and influenza .

The cost of fuel in Zimbabwe is now becoming expensive. From January 2019 fuel has increased by
500%. This makes the use of fuel not efficient in applications like grass cutting . In 2020 the average
cost of using or hiring a grass cutter is $8USD depending on size of area , these costs can be avoided or
reduced by applying alternatives to the gas powered grass cutters.
