Research Topic

Kinetic Architecture

Architects will be able to design realistic considerations of human and environmental situations
thanks to kinetic architecture. The end result will be an architecture of new and previously unknown
applications that meet today's and tomorrow's dynamic, flexible, and constantly changing activities.

Kinetic facades

Facades that were intriguing for the majority of architecture's history were achieved through
materiality or decoration. From the Parthenon's beautifully painted friezes to modern skyscrapers'
glass exteriors, architecture was mainly static, only 'changing' as the environment changed and
affected the material of the facade in various ways, such as rain, light, rust, and so on. The relevance
of the environment hasn't diminished as technology has developed and facades have literally
changed. Rather, cutting-edge technology has enabled architects to create building that responds to
stimuli in more intriguing ways than ever before. These ideas frequently take the shape of kinetic
facades, which are dynamic architectural facades that transform buildings from static monoliths to
ever-moving surfaces.

Research Problem

The lack of clarity in the influence of the use of smart materials and the cost of installation in current
building facades in India is the research problem, as is the relevance of examining the impact of
these materials on the development of modern architectural facades.

Purpose Statement

Today's life is dynamic, therefore the space we are living in should be dynamic as well, adjustable to
our needs that change continuously to our concept of design and our mood. Kinetic buildings can
follow the rhythms of nature and can change direction and shape from spring to summer, from
sunrise to sunset and adjust themselves to the weather so, buildings will be alive
