1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 SCOPE OF SUPPLY


The use of passenger cabins is appropriate for installations subject to EN 81-20 and
EN 81-21 standards, within the range of the desired load.

1.2 INFORMATION CONCERNING THE PRODUCT

1.2.1 USE OF CURRENT DOCUMENT


The current document consists part of the documentation of complete lift systems and
refers to the installer. In case of deviation from the basic version, special regulations will be
applied. If these are not available, should be required by the manufacturer.

1.2.2 DEFINITIONS
HAZARD: This symbol warns for high probability of injury of persons. Instructions
marked with this symbol must be strictly followed.

WARNING: This symbol draws the attention to the accompanying information, which if
neglected may result in injury of persons or extensive damage of components and
malfunctions.

ATTENTION: This symbol draws the attention to important instructions. Negligence of


the instructions accompanied by this symbol, may cause malfunctions or damage to
components.

IMPORTANT NOTE

1.2.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE


The quality assurance system employed ensures the high level of quality of all complete
lift systems. The ISO 9001:2000 quality assurance system incorporates all the detailed
systematic activities required for the compliance of the specific product with all the relevant
safety regulations.

All necessary documents regarding safety instructions, use and maintenance of lift
components, are contained within the user’s manual, supplied along with every
complete lift and should always at the disposal of persons involved in the installation and
maintenance of the lift.

1.2.4 TERMS OF THE CURRENT DOCUMENT

Reproduction of the whole or part of the specific manual is not allowed, without the
written approval of the manufacturer.

2. TRANSPORTATION & TEMPORARY STORAGE


2.1 SAFETY MEASURES
Large and bulky components such as the cabin should be lifted at the point of
attachment by a lifting mechanism. During the lifting, the components must be balanced
accurately. Furthermore, the lifting mechanism should be suitable for lifting these weights.

2.2 TRANSPORTATION
Avoid any damages during transportation. Secure the components from falling. All
packaged products should be protected during transportation and all the notes written on the
package must be strictly followed.

2.3 UNPACKING OF COMPONENTS


Thoroughly check the consignment for any possible damages or missing parts right
after reception. Notify the manufacturer immediately in written for any problems regarding the
consignment. Complaints that are notified to the manufacturer long after the reception of the
consignment will not be accepted. Remove all packing material prior to installation.
If there is a protective nylon on the sheets, please remove it only from the surfaces which will
be in contact with other cabin's parts before assembling.

2.4 TEMPORARY STORAGE


Temporary storage should not take place in high humidity environments. Check all
packed components regularly, for the possible existence of condensed water that could cause
wear.

2.5 MATERIALS PROTECTION


The state of the supplied components should be checked at regular intervals, if the
storage is to exceed three months. The manufacturer will not be responsible for any failure by
other parties to comply with the suggested storage guidelines.

2.6 PROTECTION FROM ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS


The storage area should be dry and free of dust.

3. Packaging

3.1. Package

According the dimensions of cabin please seek for two or more packages.

One of the packages contains the cabin’s platform.

5. Assembly Sequence

5.1 Rear Side

According the cabin’s dimensions the side panels may be divided in groups of max of three panels each.
When assembling the rear side please follow a right to left direction like the one indicated by the next
figure. E.g. first assemble the group [1] an then the group [2].

(The sequence indication numbers are market at the outer panel surface)

To assemble the panel groups insert each rivet to the corresponding socket.

Use at least three bolts to tighten each side panel

Check the alignment between the rear panels and the platform

5.2 Left Side

Before the installation of the left and right side panel groups please assembly the cabin post to the last
group of each side (left /right)

When assembling the left side please follow a direction from the rear side to the front side.

5.4 Roof & Ceiling

According to the cabin’s dimensions the roof may be divided in more than one part. If this is the case
start the assembly with a direction from the main entrance to the rear side. To indicate the right part,
please seek for the corresponding text mark.

5.7 Roof & Ceiling

After the installation of the roof part(s) and the Header, please connect the side panels with the roof
using the adequate bolts. Please make sure that each panel is connected with at least three bolts.

If the ceiling is divided in more than one part please connect the separate parts using the adequate
bolts. Please keep the distance of sequencing bolted connections ~25 cm
