ProceduresaredefinedanddescribedintheRulesandRegulations, BoardofRegents,TheUniversityofTexasSystem,Part1,ChapterVI, Section3,andinTitleV,RulesonStudentServicesandActivitiesofthe universitysHandbookofOperatingProcedures.Therulesand regulationsareavailabletostudentsintheOfficeoftheDeanof Students,wherestaffmembersareavailabletoassiststudentsin interpretingtherulesandregulations(SU1.602,972/8836391). Astudentattheuniversityneitherlosestherightsnorescapesthe responsibilitiesofcitizenship.Heorsheisexpectedtoobeyfederal, state,andlocallawsaswellastheRegentsRules,university regulations,andadministrativerules.Studentsaresubjectto disciplineforviolatingthestandardsofconductwhethersuchconduct takesplaceonoroffcampus,orwhethercivilorcriminalpenaltiesare alsoimposedforsuchconduct.
