Formats of Writing prompts:

Article Writing:

1- Headline

3- Place, Date: Introductory paragraph(5Ws- What, Where, When, Why, WHo)

*Note: Place is where you are present when writing, date is also the date of writing and should be
written in the format Month Day example, January 3:

4-Body Paragraph: Elaboration of details

ACCOUNT WRITING:

1- Address the concerned person as Dear Sir/Ma’am.

Persuasive Writing:
In this type of essay, you are to persuade/ convince the reader, by using moving, emotional or
personal language.

format should be general essay type:

1- Introduction
2- Body

3- Conclusion.

Opinion Writing

It is like persuasive writing but relies less on emotional persuation and is simply the reflection of your
opinion.
Format is same as Persuasive.

Narrative Writing
Should follow plot structure:

1- exposition; setting of the story including characters.

2- Conflict; a problem in the story.

3- Rising action; progress of story due to conflict.


4- Climax; Highest point of intensity, turning point.
5- Falling action;Conflict starts to solve, resolve, end.
6- Denouement; ending.
