Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

The honorable Adjudicator
The honorable committee
And the honorable participants and the audiences.
First thing first, lets say thank to our god allah swt for giving us some blessing and mercies so
we can gather in this place with a good condition
Secondly, shalawat and salam to our prophet muhammad saw who has save his community
and society from the darkness to the lightness..
And i also thank to the adjudicator for giving me a chance to deliver my speech under the
theme “body shaming” in front of you all.

Well ladies and gentlemen...

Before i start my speech, i want to say, actually the one who represents my class in here is not
me, but one of my friend. So speech that i’m going to tell is about her feelings, feelings that
she feel everyday.
And i’m going to represent her to speak up.

Well...
Having a “plus” size body often makes women feel inferior about their body posture. Many
women who have a large body posture but they still display what their posture is.
In this day... and age... There are a lot of people doing body shaming.

THEN?!
WHAT IS BODY SHAMING?

Okay...
Body shaming is an act of bullying to comment on the physical appearance, and even self
image of a person. This action is very often found within the scope of friendship and family.

But?!
This body shaming is rarely realized because we only consider this as more as a jokes. Body
shaming is not only for thin or fat people, everyone must have flaws.
Maybe you who do body shaming also have flaws too... but you are not aware, because you
think yourself is perfect.
BUT NO YOU DONT!
NO ONE IS PERFECT IN THIS WORLD.

Everyone...
Just so you know
I already feel it...
When everyday i meet with my friends or even my family, surely they say “ouuu....you’re
thinner” or “ouuu.... your body is perfect” in a satirical tone.

Maybe...
They think its just a joke...
BUT?! They dont think about what people feel about their words.
Everytime i oppose them, they just say, in indonesian we can say “baperan” they say i am too
“baperan” even though they do not think about the impact of the person. It could be that
people who are in body shaming feel down and the depressed and thought to kill their lives.

Body shaming is the same as bullying.

They behaved arbitarily to their victims and and after that they behaved as if they were
innocent.

Well guys...
Let us introspect oirselves...
Because in world there are no humans perfect except allah swt, every human has advantages
and disadvantages of each...

Alright...
I’m Siti Aisyah
And i’m from Ten Science 3
I hope its open our point of view about body shaming.
And i’m sorry if i made a mistakes because i’m just an ordinary human who always try to
give my best.
