UTS - SELF EFFICACY HOMEWORK

1. What is self - efficacy- The term “self- efficacy” refers to your beliefs about your ability to
effectively perform the task needed to attain a valued goal. Self- efficacy does not refer to
your abilities but to how strongly you believe you can use your abilities to work to ward goals.
Self efficacy is not a unitary construct or trait; rather people have self efficacy beliefs in
different domains, such as academic self- efficacy, problem solving self - efficacy, and self
regulatory self - efficacy. Stronger self- efficacy beliefs are associated with positive
outcomes,such as better grades,greater athietic performance,happier romantic
relationship,and healthier lifestyle.

 Form the stronger sense of commitment to their interest and activities
 Recover quickly from setbacks and disapointment
 View challenging problems as task to be mastered
3. how can a person develop self- efficacy
 By their experience in life
 Influence by other people
4. To apply self - efficacy to yourself
A. Identify 2 areas in your life you need to apply in self- efficacy
 Consistency
 Self development
B. CREATE A PLAN 2-3 STEP TO TAKE TO DEVELOP AND APPLY SELF-EFFICACY IN A
SPECIFIC AREA IN YOUR LIFE

 1ST Believe in yourself and abilities, showing us that we can achieve anything if we will just
believe in our abilities and work hard through any problems that come our way. Remove
any impossible thoughts or limitations and believe there is a way to achieve anything you
desire
 2nd Accept feedback, whether positive or negative as a means to develop yourself forwards
your goals. Nobody like unsolicited criticism and you don’t have to suffer it. But it might
be helpful nonetheless.
 3rd Avoid detractors and critics. Circumstances and people who do not support your
endeavors can be very destructive to your progress. So only tell your goal to people who
will support you.
