"hystory is who we are and why we are the way we are.

I chose this quote because each word of this quote has a singnification that deeply touches the strong
inside, after reading it several times it captivated me because as I process it I realize the importance of
the story I found this quote to be unique in the choice of words and the meaning behind the actual
words.
I then decided to break it down into two parts, to make it easier for me to describe each section as
best I could.
".history is what we are."

if victor shoelcher had not abolished slavery in france or if

christophe colomb had not discovered america inone thousand
four hundred ninety-two 1492 i don't think we would be where
we are today, history is what makes us, us. It is like a huge
reservoir of experience that helps us to see where we come from and
where we are going. Nowadays we use airplanes to travel from one
country to another, it could go back to the time when Clement Ader
designed the first plane. History builds us up to where we are now.
Basically, I think that history has created us in a way by making us
have everything we have today. We shouldn't forget history even if we
tried.
History is the reason why we are the way we are
through history we can learn about the imperfections of our idols that have marked the history of
mankind. it is also what we are because even if we do not decide on the conditions of our existence it
is always possible to change them by acting. moreover although we are determined by the world in
which we are located we still remain a force of production of history, and our actions, a historical
force of transformation. History has changed us, sometimes for good or bad, but it reflects who we
are today.
Thus "History is who we are and why we are the way we are."
