Guide Question;
1. Why does a profession like teaching require long years of initial professional
education and continuing professional development after that long, arduous
initial professional education?

Teaching and learning are both ongoing processes. And I suppose that the fact
that it truly deals with education is one of the reasons it has remained a
profession for so long. Learning is dynamic and education is developmental. A
long, arduous initial professional education is required for a profession like
teaching, and continuing professional development is required after the initial

education because it is also a good preparation or training to become fully

competent teacher
2. Outline the various roles portrayed by teacher in the society, describe each of
the roles briefly.

Our teachers role in the society has many roles to play because we teach and
educate our learners to become good citizens and they also considered as
agents of social change because we shaped the society by educating the
young minds to reach their future goals and their dreams that will benefit our
society for future years to come . We are also the backbone of the society we
are role models and parents that students look up to set up a good example.
They play a role of giving guidance to students because they also help learners
to grow in their personal lives and teachers play a role of being their
inspiration to young minds and teaching and showing the value of their work
in learning
