Xiaomi -In 2015 Xiaomi releases a smart shoes with 6 axis sensors having the ability to detect movement
and store data such as distance covered, speed, calories lost etc. It can also be connected to any
smartphone via Mi-Fit App.

Puma- mart shoes that tighten themselves have been a dream of science fiction for decades. This all
changed in 2015 with the launch of PUMA's AutoDisc.

Built as part of the 25th anniversary of the world's first dial-based closure shoe, the PUMA DISC, the
AutoDisc was as revolutionary as its predecessor. With the press of a button the shoes closed
themselves, the press of another button would open them. There were 3 tightness levels, with micro
adjustments also possible.

Nike- The Nike MAG, a limited-edition self- lacing shoe created by Nike. It is a replica of a shoe featured
in the film Back to the Future Part II. The Nike Mag was originally released for sale in 2011 and again in
2016.

Allbirds has launched its first plastic-free plant-based leather sneaker in partnership with material
innovation company Natural Fiber Welding (NFW), in a move that could help the industry to reduce its
reliance on harmful chemicals.

Nike- Nike was among the first companies to make intensive use of 3D printing in high-performance
product development, using the technology for quick iterations of functional parts. The highest profile
projects run by Nike is the Nike Vapor Laser Talon, the first 3D printed football cleat specifically designed
to provide optimal traction on football turf and to help athletes maintain their “drive stance” longer.

2016 was the year when Nike focussed its energy to leverage the potential of 3D printing in the
footwear industry.

New Balance - New Balance was one of the first companies to experiment with 3D printing for a number
of applications

New Balance began their relationship with Formlabs in 2017, when the Massachusetts based 3D printing
company announced an exclusive relationship with the apparel company to develop high performance
materials and hardware for the manufacturing process for New Balance's athletic footwear.

performed more than 40 million unique customer foot scans, currently averaging more than 2.5 million
scans a year.
