Every investor is advised to have enough knowledge about the stock market before making any
investment decisions. Analysis of capital market can be done either by Fundamental analysis
or by Technical analysis. This paper aims to study on Fundamental analysis of selected six
companies from Media and Entertainment sector. Fundamental Analysis is done in three parts
known as EIC approach i.e. Economic Analysis followed by Industry Analysis and Company
Analysis. Economic analysis deals with fundamental macro factors like GDP, GNP, inflation,
fiscal deficit, employment rate, current account deficit. Industry analysis focuses on the Media
and Entertainment Industry as a whole studying Porter's five forces, government initiatives,
future prospects. Finally, Company analysis deals with various ratios such as ROCE, ROE,
Operating Profit Margin, Price to Book Value leading to Time series analysis and comparative
analysis. Time series analysis analyses each firm over a span of 10 years whereas the
comparative analysis helps in comparing current states of different companies. From the study
it has been found that Media and Entertainment sector will be booming in the coming years.

(2019-21)EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report involves Performance Analysis on Aviation Sector. Aviation Sector is the fastest
transportation network worldwide which makes it essential for global business. This sector
helps in generating economic growth, creates jobs and facilitates international trade and
tourism.
Performance analysis is a technique of studying or comparing the performance of a specific
sector or company. It provides a brief analysis on performance of funds in finance. Here in this
report I have selected two major players in the Aviation sector on the basis of their market
capitalization which are also Indian low-cost carriers namely SpiceJet and Indigo.
At first the sector is analyzed by tools like SWOT analysis, PORTER’S 5 force model and
PESTEL analysis. Key trends and challenges by this sector are studied along with government
initiatives. After sector analysis, selected companies were studied using tools like SWOT
analysis, key financial Ratios are calculated for past four years from 2019-2016 and in Data
analysis part Calculations are shown along with figures and interpretations.
‘These financial ratios help us to analyze company’s Liquidity position, its solvency in the
industry, profitability and valuations giving investors more relevant information than raw
financial data which also helps in decision making. Data analysis is important for any business
to understand problems facing by them and transforming, modelling data to extract useful
information for business decision making.
This report also includes Covid-19 impact on sector or on companies in that sector as we know
that Covid-19 is a Pandemic situation this year which has impacted a lot on the economy as
well as on each sector so it's very necessary for us to involve this topic to study its impact on
this sector. Research papers are studied on topics related to Aviation sector to build the gap
between the studies and provides us opportunity to explore more on that topic.
Findings and conclusion is based upon the data analysis part which guides us which company
has better liquidity position or solvency position. As a result of these analysis and findings some
recommendations are made solely based on my understanding. So as a conclusion based upon
my research, I can suggest that Indigo has been doing good in terms of financial profitability as
compared to SpiceJet.A Summer Internship Project Report on

‘The project is about the Fundamental Analysis as how it plays an important part for
an investor and how it helps an investor in deciding the sector and company for
investment. In the report the Cement sector analysis has been done based on EIC
analysis system for Fundamental analysis by which the sector and its selected
‘companies are analyzed on all aspects by different analyzing methods. Fundamental
analysis is a long process of identifying that the sector is good for investors or not.
Fundamental analysis gives the investor an insight about the sector's past and present.
Fundamental analysis is a method of evaluating the intrinsic value of a stock. This,
form of analysis combines external events and influences, as well as financial
statements and industry trends. Remember the intrinsic value/fair value of a stock does
not change every day. To understand what is that fair value, you should take the help
of fundamentals, which are what drives prices up and down. In the report analysis has
been done on cement sector and its six companies to find out which is better in terms
of returns and stability in 2020. In Fundamental analysis in this report the Cement
sector has been analyzed along with six companies of cement sector. Ratio analysis
has been done along with time series and comparative analysis for companies. For
industry analysis various kinds of analysis models are used. In the end the main goal
of this report is to show whether the cement industry and selected six companies are
good for investment or not.

(2019-21)EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Many organizations today, still use a bell-curve for performance evaluation process. They
reward a small percentage of top performers, encourage a large majority in the middle to
improve, and lay-off the bottom performers. Companies believe that such pay-for-
performance system encourages employees to perform better. But this method arises a
question that why the growth of both the employer and the employee hinders if performance
is measured and appraisals are distributed? To solve the issue and focus on how performance
should be measured the question explored in this paper is: does the system increase the overall
their job though their
performance of the company over time? And Why employees q
performance is encouraged?
However, with lay-offs, constant pressure demoralizes employees, leading to drop in
performance. As the company shrinks, the rigid distribution of bell-curve forces managers to
demotion, behaves like a mediocre. Further, managers begin to reward visible performance
|
| label a high performer as a mediocre. A high performer, unmotivated by such artificial
|
| over the actual. Finally, the erosion of social capital could cripple the company. A descriptive
research is applied to define and suggest some alternatives to this, Bell Curve method of
appraising employees, to increase the effectiveness of performance evaluation, through the
help of case studies. These case studies are designed in such a way, that it provides a detailed
procedure of its application with the impact it would create, if applied.A Summer Internship Project Report on
