Victor Orly is a contemporary French painter. He is one of the major

representatives of a new-age impressionism, the president of cultural and art
association Capitale, director of Capitale & Victor Orly Gallery, a member of Guangdong
Yuehua Painting Academy, Guangzhou, China. He was born at Guennadi Grebniov on
20 February 1962. He has been living and working in France since 2004. He started to
draw in a very young age. Victor Orly's art is light and life-affirming. His works are filled
with warm atmosphere. They are energetic and open. Victor Orly is an elegant
provocateur of our emotions. He has invented his own painting technique, which makes
his works volumetric, polyphonic, and 3-D ones.

He said in this artwork that “History and adventure do not end there. Even after a
voyage through the centuries. And now everything is in anticipation of the meeting. No,
not only one meeting. The meetings. It's exactly. Leave thoughts of a sailboat. Forget
about meetings. you stand barefoot on the warm sand. Water gently tickles your feet.
What kind of music you hear now? Stop! Now you have thought about something of
your own.”

My interpretation in this artwork is that this painting which he used is oil on

canvas. I think it is rough because he used is canvas and the texture is so beautiful, you
can see here that his painting is very detailed. The waves of the sea, the colors that he
used are so unique. The style is impressionism. It is poetic and unique interpretation of
the landscape serves as the foundation of his artistic language. It is bright, elegant, yet
at the same time, provocative and demanding.
