This oral focuses on the influence of American rap.

I will first present to you an Afro-Ameri-

can series which denounces racism, police violence while integrating music. Ines will then
talk to you about the beginning of rap and its inequalities. We'll introduce you to some extract
that we love.

I know it's not a classic but this modern series shows another image of the Afro-American mi-
nority. Like empire series.
Power is an Afro American series that tells the story of a former drug dealer turned business-
man. This title is of course an image to be able to continue his business and become with his
best friend the richest and most powerful men in New York. This series was created by some-
one you know very well : 50 cents.

He is a former drug dealer turned rapper who tells his story in several booklets and his experi-
ences. What I like about this series is that the plot is not drawn, we don't have this impression
of "he's the main character, he's not going to die"

In addition, it highlights the Afro-American by breaking the stereotypes of the style they only
get rich with sports and being dealer.

However, rapping has always been a way for many people in the United States from minority
groups to express themselves without being violent. This allowed them to be a legal source of
income. This is the case of 50. Thanks to rap, he was able to set up his personal project.
