Alpha male romance novels?

I would like a list of romance novels featuring alpha males that are possessive and strong and the women are the opposite. I would prefer the novels to be steamy but not kinky ...if you know what i mean If you can help thanx

Lisa Marie Rice has a lot of alpha-romance novels. They are quite steamy and do fall under the category of erotic romance. But I absolutely love this author and feel that you can't go wrong with her. I would recommend Port of Paradise. If you do not mind vampire-romance novels, Christine Feehan has very dominant male characters in her Dark Series. The females are quite subservient. Dark Fire is exemplifies this the most. Then of course, for contemporary romance there is some of Lori Foster's books. Basically all her books except maybe 'Casey' have alpha-like males. I will do an amazon.com search and go by the ratings to select one. I love most of her books, so it will be hard for me to recommend one in particular! Another great author with alpha-type males is Lora Leigh. She does have some kinky stuff that I do not like - so you have to be careful in your selection. I would recommend the Breeds and the Feline Breed Series.

Someone asked a similar question earlier today with an emphasis on historicals: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; You'll find that most paranormal romances -- and I mean adult romance novels, not YA -- feature alpha heroes. JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series is dripping with testosterone. Good stuff!
