Node Crystals

Every Node Crystal has a Power Level that determines its power effects
Node Crystals types: Essence, Channeling, Mentalism, Arcane, All
"Arcane" crystals can be used at 1/2 power by all Casters (if not Arcane Spell User)
"All" crystals can be used by Casters of any realm
The specs below are for an unaltered Node Crystal, as they can be easily enchanted

Uses of Node Crystals

Power Point Multiplier


Power is equal to (Power Level / 10) -2 (I.E. Power Level 100 = x8 PP)
Multiplier Can be used by any Caster of Appropriate Realm

Power Manipulation Skill Category


Bonus is equal to (Power Level / 10) (I.E Power Level 100 = +10)
Can be used by any Caster of Appropriate Realm

Spell Casting
Bonus is equal to (Power Level / 5) (I.E. Power Level 100 = +20)
Can be used by any Caster of Appropriate Realm

Magic Item
Can be made into a Magic Item, or Used in a magic item
"General" Alchemist spells are shifted up by (Power Level / 50)
For example, Power Level 100 = "General I" Spell has effect as a "General III" spell
If put on a weapon or armor, spells are shifted up by (Power Level / 100)
For example, Power Level 100 = "Weapon/Armor I" Spell has effect as a "Weapon/Armor II" spell

Absorbing Power
Caster and Participants must Perform "Absorbtion" Ritual -- Using all their Power Points
Ritual Level is (Power Level / 10) (I.E. Power Level 100 = 10th level Ritual)
All who want effects must at least Participate in Ritual
Power Level of the Crystal is randomized by a 1d20 roll at explosion ( for - 10 to +10 variance)
Upon completion of Absorbtion Ritual, Crystal explodes releasing its powerful energies
Participants absorb the Crystal's Power Level up to their Maximum PP (Developed, no mods)
Power Level not absorbed causes physical damage to each Participant on an individual basis
Concussion damage = (Power Levels Remaining x 2)
Criticals at following intervals: (criticals effect are cumulative)
20 Hits A Unbalancing
40 Hits B Crush
60 Hits C Impact
80 Hits D Mana
100+ Hits E Void
If Participants survive many benefits are gained
Crash course in history around the Crystal
Experience Points = (Power Level x 50)
General Lore Skill Category (Power Level / 20)
Specific Lore (related to the Crystal and its surroundings) = (Power Level / 10)
Skill List Effects
Development Point (for Learning Spells only) = Power Level)
Participants may learn one spell list (applicable to Crystal) at (2/2/2)
Power Point Acquistion
Power Point Gained = (Power Level / 5)
Note: This is very powerful magic, and other side effects have been known to happen…
