The effects of pandemic in Agriculture and the Environment

Abstract

This technical report provides information about the effects of COVID-19 to the environment and
agriculture it focuses only with the positive effects of the pandemic in agriculture and environment by
gathering data in the reputable articles on internet. The causes and significance of the findings are also
included.

Due to the infectious disease travel restrictions were imposed, it slowdown the economic and social
activities that causes devastating impact to the livelihood of farmers and disrupted the supply chain of
vegetables. It may sound negative but it brought positive effects in agriculture. The pandemic uncovered
the needs to prioritize the nations backbone for food production which is the agricultural sector
specially the local farmers. The issues about agriculture is now more open and the people are now
aware about the problems that our local farmers faces so it will pushes government to do something
about it.The pandemic also bought good effects to the environment. Lockdowns have resulted in
shutting down of factories and road that reduces emissions and decrease the use of fossil fuels and
energy consumption. It was a huge factor that Lessen the air pollution and improved the air quality in
some cities.

The results of the research means COVID-19 pandemic didn't only bring negative effects in agriculture
and environment. The findings is significant because the environment where we live and food security is
one of the most important factors in our daily life.
