Qualities and Characteristics

Jose Rizal was very prominent among Filipinos because of his education attainments and his
compositions against the colonizers, the Spaniards, while Ninoy Aquino Jr. gained popularity because of
he’s against the government of Marcos. They were both fighter of freedom in a way they wanted on a
peaceful manner.

Advocacy and Ideology

Rizal fought the Spaniards through his compositions, while Ninoy fought Marcos Administration through
a political manner. But their manners of fighting suppressions were quite the same because they wanted
it peacefully, on a very civilized way.

Influence on the Filipino

Rizal was hailed as the greatest Filipino ever lived, and the National Hero while Ninoy introduced the
modern politics during his time. Rizal is the model for the youth, while Ninoy is for the politics.

Legacy to the Philippine Society

Even after the death, their presences are still acknowledged nowadays. Rizal remembered as the hero
who opened our eyes for the reality of the suppressions of the Spaniards, while Ninoy’s death was the
spark for the historical event called People Power, a blood less revolution of the Filipino mass who
overthrown the dictatorship of the Marcoses.
