Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio are two well-known characters who had contributions to

the history of the Philippines. The great deeds that they performed for our country in order to
obtain independence from Spanish oppressors should be remembered especially by the current
generation. Their heroism is unquestionably commendable.
Jose Rizal waged a propaganda war against Spanish tyranny by criticizing and exposing
the flaws in Spanish rule using his words. Due to a false accusation of encouraging the
Philippine revolt, he was executed by firing squad in front of Spanish and Filipino crowds.
Andres Bonifacio, on the other hand, represents the people at the bottom of society who are
frequently exploited and marginalized. He founded the revolutionary movement "Katipunan" and
used bolos and firearms to fight the Spanish government, inciting a bloody revolt. No revolution
ever started on its own. Karl Marx incited workers' unrest, which eventually led to the Bolshevik
Revolution. Despite the fact that Rizal is the most well-known of the rebellious thinkers, he was
not the one who started it all. The unhappiness was so widespread and intense that he found other
members of the La Liga Filipina to be so radical that they considered secession, which is still a
hazardous concept today.
There is no one way that is superior to the other. Rizal's political activism was as
dangerous as Bonifacio's actual revolt. If Rizal had not sparked anarchy, Bonifacio would not
have existed, and Rizal would have been forgotten if Bonifacio had not taken up weapons.
