How are FITNESS involved in your project? (How are FITNESS involved in your
project?)
This project is designed for the comparison of protein powders, both animal and
vegetable. To determine which of these proteins give the human being the best performance
and complement their training, after making them part of their daily diet.
This project aims to demonstrate after the comparison between the proteins, that
animal protein gives better results and benefits than animal protein. Since «The biological
value of proteins is one of the main differences between animal or vegetable proteins.
Proteins of animal origin are rich in essential amino acids and their digestibility will be
greater than proteins of plant origin, which are rich in fiber», explains María Aguirre
Lozano.1 Biological value is a measure of the absorption and synthesis in the body of protein
from food intake. Proteins are the largest source of nitrogen in the body.
Protein intake at the appropriate time is an important component of an overall training
program, essential for proper recovery, immune function, and the growth and maintenance
of body mass.
What motivated you to work on that idea/ topic? (Why did you choose this
topic?)
Because there is a lot of misinformation in the world of fitness. Well, many only think
that it is a matter of stopping eating and that's it, others think that by taking many supplements
Re-state the objective considering the FITNESS (What is your objective or goal with
this project?)
This project is designed for the comparison of protein powders, both animal and
vegetable. To determine which of these proteins give the human being the best performance
and complement their training, after making them part of their daily diet.
That is the general objective for which we are working on this project. But the specific
objectives of preferring animal protein so far are:
· To improve metabolism.
· To improve digestion.
· To perfect post-exercise recovery.
What are you going to do? (What are the steps to creating the project, and who will
take care of which steps)
For my project, I have decided to carry out an experiment in which four people will
participate, two men and two women. The participants will have to add to their diet "animal"
and "vegetable" proteins; one couple will add to their diet animal protein, and the other couple
will add vegetable protein. It is important to mention that both couples will have the same
rhythm in the daily exercises, their diet will be the same, their resting time will be the same.
All the above-mentioned will be developed over a period of 2 months.
At the end of the two months, both pairs will be submitted to a special analysis which
will determine which of the proteins used in the experiment is the most suitable to consume
for training and muscle development.
It is important to mention that each person develops a different metabolism and that
is something that could cause a slight difference in the results of the experiments. But, in the
same way, these differences can be advantages or disadvantages for the participant's training.
