Mini_Lesson – CS102, In Conclusion…

Congratulations, you have made it to the end of the semester in CS102. We know
it has been a lot of work, but we hope you have found it a valuable learning
experience, if you don’t feel that way yet, hopefully, when you find yourself using
these skills in other classes and beyond, you will begin to appreciate it more.
Don’t let your learning stop with the end of this course. Continue to
review skills learned, learn skills not covered, work towards earning your
digital shareable badges, or study for certification. Remember, your
SimNet account never expires. When you login after the end of class, your
semester course work will be gone, however, students still have access to
all content covered in class and more via the LIBRARY tab in SimNet.
Once in the Library, access the SimNet option for Office 365/2019 and
select the content you want to review or learn skills not covered.
Students should have all the weekly Mini-Lessons downloaded for future reference (badging,
certification, student tech resources, CTA Minor etc.)
After the end of class, any questions regarding your SimNet account or questions regarding the
Computing Technology & Application Minor can be directed to the CS102 Course Coordinator,
Dr. Kathleen Morris at kmorris@cs.ua.edu .
For free downloadable and printable PDF Quick Reference Guides, visit
https://www.customguide.com/quick-reference, be sure to look for the 2019 content for
WORD, EXCEL and PPT. Print these out or download and save to your computer for quick
reference while you work in these applications.
As you finish GROUP 12 Content each student needs to be sure to review his/her current
grade in CS102 and review any material that can still be completed or retaken for a higher
score. Don’t leave ANY points on the table. There should be NO surprises at the end of the
semester regarding final grades. Current averages have been updated weekly throughout the
semester. All questions and concerns need to be addressed now, while there is still time to
receive help and improve one’s grade.
As at the end of each semester, we ask students to take the time to fill out the course evaluation
for CS102. We appreciate helpful student feedback. Thank you in advance for doing this.
This is the final Mini-Lesson of the term! Don’t forget to complete the QUIZ for this mini-
lesson.
Thank you for all your hard work this semester!
