Zara is known as the father of

videoconferencing as we know it. Our modern

videoconferencing apps, like Zoom, Skype, and

Microsoft Teams, would not be possible without the

brilliant mind of Zara. The analog transmission

telephones came before the invention, which was

just telephones where only audio would be

transmitted, not including video.

The creation of the video telephone allowed the

caller and recipient to see each other while

chatting, establishing the groundwork for

videoconferencing. His invention is undoubtedly as

impactful as today, given the pandemic forcing us

into our own homes, which aided Zara’s invention

to retain its relevance.

My Cybernetic Eye invention functions similarly to our

very own mobile devices/smartphones, only that it is

implanted within the human brain, and transmits that

information to our sense of sight. The brain will send electric

signals on what we are thinking, and our technology will be

able to detect that and translate it into the action we want the

device to do.

This invention is like existing technologies of today such as

augmented reality and virtual reality technology in a sense of

the user perceives computer-generated information and

images. This invention is like existing technologies of today

such as augmented reality and virtual reality technology in a

sense of the user perceives computer-generated information

and images from their real-world point of view.

Furthermore, this invention would help reduce the usage of

the finite resources of our planet and advance the technology

our world is currently using. We would be abandoning the

usage of phones and now be making use of Augmented Reality

and Virtual Reality and implementing it into our own bodies.
