Summary

Nutrition is important when doing physical sports as much as it’s important for physical training, but
in the Caribbean, there isn’t much attention given to nutrition in athletes. Athletes needs to be
aware of the importance of a healthy and nutritious diet because it plays a big part in their overall
performance. Sports require the most nutrition. Many athletes ignore the importance of a healthy
diet and rather fast foods. Many athletes think that drug use will help with their performance rather
than eating healthy foods. Athletes mostly feel pressured or persuaded into using drugs to boost
their performance because they are interested in the prizes but doesn’t realize that drug use can
damage their health as they grow.
