Problem Statement 01: Student Mark Analysing System (SMAS)

The student mark analysing system keeps track of the academic record of the set of students in
the organization. The student mark analysing system registers all the students in an
organization. The System holds all the details of the students in an organization. This also holds
the progress of the various students in the organization. The marks of the various students are
properly compared to determine the rank holders in the organization. Then the entire collection
of students is granted. The faculty alone is allowed to operate on the students' mark analysing
system. The system stores the information about the students in the student mark analysis but,
the students are not allowed to operate on the system. The students are to be uniquely identified.
So, a unique student id will be assigned to every student in the organization. The student details
that are stored in the organization include the student register number, student name,
department, year and semester, marks in various subjects, and section of the student. The
student progress module provides ranks to the students based on the marks secured to them.
Answer the following questions using the above-mentioned problem statement. Name the
actors, functional, and non-functional requirements, and use case scenarios. Demonstrate the
use case model of The student mark analysing system (SMAS) with all possible features.

Problem Statement 02: Hospital Management Information System (HMIS)

Hospital Management Information System addresses the entire major functional areas of
modern multi-speciality hospitals. The package enables improved patient care, patient safety,
efficiency and reduced costs. It provides easy access to critical information, thereby enabling
management to make better decisions on time. It captures patient data at different points,
enables queries at different workstations and generates reports at the required frequency. It also
provides a comprehensive Search Engine for Patient Search and Analysis. It enables the
retrieval of the patient’s investigation and procedure record from different locations i.e. IPD,
OPD, and Casualty. The Theatre Booking module facilitates the booking of a theatre for
surgery on OPD/IPD patients. The system enables theatre scheduling, ascertaining the
consultant's OPD schedule and the availability of equipment necessary for surgery. The system
maintains a list of surgical/general equipment used in the hospital. It will take care of overall
accounting concerning spare parts, utilization and maintenance. It deals in detail with blood
transfusion centres as well as component laboratories and works as an interactive online
system. The Security and Administration module deals with controlling access to information
available in the application. Answer the following questions using the above-mentioned
problem statement. Name the actors, functional, and non-functional requirements, and use case
scenarios. Demonstrate a use case model of the Hospital Management Information System
(HMIS) with all possible features.

Problem Statement 03: Airline Ticketing System (ATS)

The airline ticketing system software is a program whose primary responsibility is to allow
passengers to make travel bookings on any one of the available air routes being serviced. The
software can make connecting flight bookings and/or return journey bookings as well. The
software needs to present the passengers with the options for querying all the available routes
in some convenient way. The air carrier services offered have various attributes such as
passenger classes, travel time, day/night travel, ticket concessions etc. The airline ticketing
system is used by reservation clerks. The system is also available online and passengers can
connect to it through the web and make their bookings. In this case, the system also caters to
different payment options such as credit/debit cards, vpp, demand draft etc. Answer the
following questions using the above-mentioned problem statement. Name the actors,
functional, and non-functional requirements, and use case scenarios. Demonstrate a use case
model of the Airline Ticketing System (ATS) with all possible features.
