Description how to use ClosedLoop – PressCenter

 Starting a new job:

Use our InkPreset SW according to our 1 page manual, or set up ink profile manually if you
do not have any “CIP3 link”

 Print out some sheets to do registration

 Click on Jobs-->Actual Job Details to setup regulation method, color strip etc.

1. Select regulation method
2. Select color strip
3. Click on OK to confirm changes and exit from this menu

 Click on Scan Control Strip to start measurement.

 After recognition scan you should see first scan.


Closed Loop:
 Activate 1th and 3rd row at console (white buttons) and confirm by green button to accept
data automaticaly.

Note: It is recommended to switch OFF 3rd row (boost) in case ink coverage is low

 Scan your color bar after 100-150 sheets, green buttons on the Heidelberg console is
signaling when you can scan a next sheet.

 After scan you will see red bars showing difference between your target densities/dE and
measured ones. An operator can proceed with that corrections to get target densities or
minimum dE sheet by clicking button “Send Corrections” to send data into a
press.
 After 100-150 sheets you can do “closed loop” procedure described above again and again
until you get target density or min dE regarding to used regulation method.

 Click on Follow up Menu to see correction data

Important notes:

 A press has to be running / printing while using closed loop

 When the DPI (direct press interface) is used we do not send ink zone values into a console
but relative densities! It means that ink zone values in our SW are different with ink zone
values in a console
