nagbago ung behavior niya
maam which is hindi naman
siya ganun dati . Recently po
nawawalan siya ng ganang
kumain kahit yung mga favorite
foods niya ayaw niyang kainin,
ayaw narin niyang pumasok ng
school nanginginig siya at
umiiyak kapag pinipilit ko dati
namn ,nung kinder siya at grade
1 excited sya laging pumasok,
bumaba rin ung academic
performance niya at lagi siyang
wala sa focus madalas na
papatulala. At nalaman ko din
na ung dahilan kung bakit siya
nagiging ganito dahil sa English
Teacher niya na lagi raw siyang
pinapahiya at napapagsalitaan
ng mga masasakit na salita.

Observations about the client:

- The client has fair
complexion , has medium body
built and height is appropriate to
her age. She has long thick hair
fixed in a ponytail. She appeared

well groomed, without

distinguishing marks nor scars.
She has a becoming face. “Let-
Let” was described as active,
smart, amiable, outgoing and
enthusiastic. She is comfortable
speaking in English rather than
Tagalog.Upon interview, her
affect is appropriate, she is
courteous and converses in
English language but could also
speak in Tagalog. Her memory
recall is good as to recent; she
could give detailed account of
her past experiences; however,
appeared to have fair to good
ability to recall immediate
information. During testing, she
is cooperative and was able to
finish given tasks in due pace.

Social Work Principles/theories

applied:
For the client I use the
Cognitive Behavioral therapy
And for her family I use the
Family System Theory
As for her community I use the
Recreational Therapy

Recommendation:
- Based on the gathered
information, psychological test
result and evaluation it showed
that the client is facing traces of
anxiety, tendency for isolation,
depressive and withdrawal
tendencies as well as having fear
to go to school due to experience
a humiliating incident . The goal
is to help the client’s condition
therefore the worker
recommends the client for
counseling to process her way of
thinking and learn coping skills.
Since the child doesn’t exposed
much in their community it is
recommended to encourage her
to a regular physical activities
and outdoor games and play to
help beat stress reactions and
negative feelings. And also
continues Strong family support
is encouraged to help her
recover.

-My plan for the next session is
that the client must attend
counseling to overcome
emotional trauma related to
abuse or violence. And to
process her way of thinking as
well as learn techniques for
coping with stressful life
situations.
Student’s Learning/Insights:
-My learnings for this case as a
Social work student is that I
learn how to assess client needs
and help them obtain needed
resources. I become more aware
of the challenges faced by this
client and gained new
competencies, skills ,ideas such
as choosing suitable theories that
may help or address my client's
needs
I come to understand what it
means to work as a professional
social worker who is confident
and knows how to handle a
situation or ask questions to the
client regarding his/her concern
