\When using the camera at waist-level a brilliapt viewfinder is slipped into the finder slot. This
finder has-an exceedingly large and brightl field and can be swung over for horizontal
pictures. The baseboard"oi the"camera is equilpped rvith a folding foot"on rvhich to stand the
camera upright. Two-threaded holes are provided for fixing the camera on a tripod; the one
on the side of the camera is for horizontal plctures, the other on the baseboard for upright

rangihg from about 12 feet to inffnity; average exposure time l/zs second.
Release of the shutter
can be effected by pressing down knob (12) completely. This is possible only if
1. film has been wound forward the length of 1 picture (13), which is indica.ted by
a red signal (1 1), and
2. the shutter is set. For this, lever (3) has to be pushed upward. \When cocking the
Compur shutter for rlsoo second a pronounced resistance has to be overcome.

For taking pictures with the delayed action irelease,
after _cocking the shutter (3) button (4) is pushed back and lever (3) upward to a
second stop.
By pressing down shutter release knob (12), rhe delayed action clockwork is set in motion
and releases the shutter about 8 seconds later. For long time exposures (B) or with shutter
speeds o{ r/soo second the delayed action release cannot be used.
Holding the camera
For horizotal pictures For upright pictures
During exposure the canrera should rest safely and without vibration in both hands. The
viewffider'must be placed close to the eye, without accidentally pressing ueuin.t the eyepiece,
since this will render the linder inaccurat_e. \X/hen composing the-subjeci in the ffnder, verticai
lines of the subject must be placed parallel witir the edges-of the finder.

1. C)pen camera back (6). Pull out pin (1S) and insert
f ilnr :;pool.
2. Backing paper of film spool, with printed side out-
n'ard, is fitted into the longer slot of the empty spool
and tautened by turning film winding k.y (13).

3. Lid cver the red windorv in the back of the camera
must be opened, and film woutrd on until the nurnber
"1" :ppears in the window. After setting the shutter
(3), the camera is ready to take pictures. \Thenever
the film has been wound forward, the lid should be
closeri.
