Group Exercise – In Class Tutorial Sessions on February 17 and 24, 2023

2. Complete the attached questionnaire (next page) in the “VARIABLE VIEW Window.”
3. Insert the answers from the response sheet into the “DATA VIEW Window.”

Individual Student Exercise – Take home assignment due on March 1, 2023 (Review on March
2, 2023)
4. Design a simple questionnaire with 5 questions.
a. 1 question should feature a string variable.
b. 1 question a numeric variable (open ended- not coded)
c. 2 questions with coded variable
d. 1 question allowing for a written open-ended response (i.e., string variable).

5. Insert the designed instrument into the SPSS Data Base (i.e., “VARIABLE VIEW Window.”)
6. Administer the designed questionnaire to 10 individuals
7. Insert the responses into the SPSS Data Set
a. Add an additional column after the open-ended questions and develop codes for the various
categories of responses.
