1 . Installation and Execution


1.1 The Purpose of Networking

  In the convenience for access control and time attendance management, SOYAL provides powerful software
701ServerSQL & 701ClientSQL, which enhance efficiency significantly with user-friendly graphical interface while
operating.
701ServerSQL acts as a bridge to coordinate the communication between the Host PC and access controllers,
as well as allows users to set parameters of access controller in different locations just through the Host PC at
once. Furthermore, all the event logs can be analyzed through 701ClientSQL to automatically generate daily or
monthly time and attendance report of each individual. Besides, 701ClientSQL is also capable of payroll control,
and setting the door group, time zone, user access level, etc.

1.5 Operator Management (Login Name / Password / Operation Level )

Login

When login 701Client for the first time, please enter the default Login Name and password as below:
Login Name: supervisor
Password: supervisor
To improve security, please change your password and access level immediately after login.

Access Level/Password

Help Password and then “Modify User Access Password” window will come out. Items can be modified as
follows:
1. User ID: 00-99 operators, 100 in total, for editing the user level, login name and password, etc.
2. User Level: 0-63 user level for editing. 63 is the highest authority.
3. Login Name: login name can be composed of 18 English letters or 9 Chinese characters at most.
4. Password: password can be composed of 18 English letters or 9 Chinese characters at most.
5. You can tick the desired options on the right field.
※Advanced is that when the operator with advanced level is allowed to edit user card data on
the window of Edit User Card; In the daily report, the operator is allowed to modify the data in daily report.

NOTE
When 701Client has be minimized and disappeared from the desktop temporarily, you will be demanded
to re-login as you make 701Client appear again. If you want to avoid this re-login window and improve
efficiency, you can change the setting as follows:
※ Next time you can login 701Client with Login Name: NoLogin (Password: NoLogin) to prevent re-login
window from appearing again.

Click Help Password and then “Modify User Access Password” window will come out. Setting can be
modified as follows:
1. User ID: 00
2. User Level: 63
3. Login Name: NoLogin
4. Password: NoLogin
5. Option at right of window can be changed based on demand.

1.6 Permission to Operate the Software

  Both the operator and the software itself will be given an access level index. Operator with higher level index
number is allowed to operate the functions with lower level index in 701ClientSQL.

2. Modify: those operators with lower access level index are not allowed to modify the following
items.
3. Advanced: those operators with lower access level index are not allowed to use the following
advanced features (including edit user data and modify daily report).

2 . Access Control Setting

2.1 Location

  Where the access controller is located should be set via 701ClientSQL, including door number and door name.

Select Setting --> System Parameter --> Tick ‘Enable Multi Area Mode(Area. Door)’

There are two ways to open “Door Name Editior” window: and

Step 1. Click “Add Door” button.


Step 2. Select Area Name
Step 3. Door Number of Reader: input door number of the access controller .
Step 4. Name: input the location name corresponding to the door number (door number 001:
front door, door number 002: back door, door number 003: warehouse).
Step 5. Click “EXIT” to close the window (or click “Rename” to modify data).

For small framework, you just need to input the door number and door name to add door data in “Door
Name Editor” window. For huge framework, you need to tick “Enable Huge-Door-Group Mode” option
in “System Parameters Setting” window (refer to Page 27 Step 7.) and input (1) Node of Controller (2)

1. For H series access controller (AR-721-H) connected to the Multi-Door Networking Controller
(AR-716-E): Node ID of AR-716-E.
2. For E series access controller (AR-837-E) : Node ID of this access controller.
3. For H series access controller (AR-721-H) connected to the host PC directly: door number H of this
access controller (i.e. Virtual AR-716-E Node ID).

2.2 Door Groups

  How can you control different users' access levels of doors? Door group management provides a perfect
solution to that requirement by setting different doors as a door group and only particular users are allowed to
access designated door group, for example, Accounting door group for accounting dept. and RD door group for RD
dept.

For example:

NOTE
Each user can be assigned to specific access Time Zone, Door Group, and Access Level. After these setting
being set up, each user have to assigned which Time Zone, Door Group, and Access Level to equip. More de-
tail please refer to Chapter 2.6 User Card Edit (Step. 6-8).

There are two ways to open the “Door Group Edit” window: and

Step 1. Group: 1 ~ 255 sets of door groups for selection. For example: 001.
Step 2. Tick the permitted locations (door number + door name) of this door group, for example:
001 Front Door.And Door Group Name can be edited for needs.
Step 3. Link: each door group can link to another door group. If there is no need for link, please
select “END” in the “LINK” field.
Step 4. Level: 00 ~ 63 Access Levels for editing. User with higher-level index number is allowed
to access those Time Zones or Door Groups with lower level index numbers (63 is the
highest authority), details please refer to the Chapter 2.6 User Card Edit (Step. 6-8).
Step 5. Click “Save” to save all settings.
Step 6. Click “EXIT” to close the window.

2.3 Time Zone

  After the door group setting is completed, we can proceed to set the time zones for user's access control.
There are 00 ~ 63 time zones for editing.

Application :

Auto Open Time Zone :


Auto Open Zone usually program during office hour in which worker does not required to present any access
identification to roam freely and conveniently in the office. Meanwhile, for area that still required access restriction
such as treasury room, computer room, and executive room can be set as an exception of Auto Open Zone.
Limited Access Zone (Temporary Pass) :
Designated Access Zone is a short-term access for visitor or one-time access management. Each visitor is given
a temporary pass that could be used during their visit and could not use the access anymore after visit hours
have expired.
Access Time Zone :
Access Time Zone is a set of time in which user can access only has access during particular time. This is to
limit employee to have access only during shift hour and denied access even though employee presenting valid
card during non-working hours.
Duty Shift :
Duty Shift is the time recorded for employee in Time Attendance system.

For example:

To manage the personnel in each Time Zone conveniently, manager could set up multiple Time Zones by different
requirement. Taking the table below for instance, one factory has the Normal Personnel Time Zones 001~003
(Morning Shift – Mon to Fri 08:15-17:00 / Night Shift - Mon to Fri 17:00~23:00 / Graveyard Shift - Mon to Fri
23:15~06:00) and the Security Time Zone 004 (Mon to Fri 06:30~07:30/08:15~17:00), personnel can also enter the
factory in weekends during specific Time Zone.

2. Access Control Setting

There are two ways to open the “Time Zone Edit” window: and

Step 1. ZONE: 00 ~ 63 time zones for editing. For example: 001.


Step 2. Enter the starting/ending time of this time zone during Monday to Sunday.
Step 3. Level: 00 ~ 63 access levels for editing. User with higher level index number is allowed to
access those time zones or door groups with lower level index numbers. (63 is the
highest authority)
Step 4. Link: each time zone can link to another time zone. If there is no need for link, please
select “END” in the “LINK” field. If “FREE” is selected in the “LINK” field, the access
control of this time zone would be inactive, which can be used in emergency conditions.
Step 5. If “Available in Holiday” is ticked, users with higher level index number can still get access
during this time zone on holidays. If not ticked, all users are not allowed to get access
during this time zone on holidays (please refer to Page 8 for holiday setting).
Step 6. Select Area name and the controller’ node ID to edit time zone, then directly
click to download time zone setting to the controller.

Step 7. After finish setting, click


Save: Save all the Time Zone setting to the current work file;
Save As: Save all the Time Zone setting to another file;
Save as Text: Save all the Time Zone setting to a .TXT text file.
Step 8. Click “EXIT” to close the window.

2.4 Holiday

  After the time zone setting is completed, we can proceed to set the holidays of the whole year (up to 120
holidays in total).
Holiday Setting Concept: The holiday setting in 701ClientSQL software will be only recorded the month/day
(exclude year) , so when editing holidays, please do not edit a date as holiday that exceeds 11 months from the
current month to avoid the holiday setting being overwritten.
As shown below: The current month is August 2022, then you can set holidays from August 2022 to June 2023 (11
months in total)

There are two ways to open the “Holiday Edit” window: and

2.5 Attendance Shift Setting

  Before generating attendance reports, you have to set attendance shifts first, and there are 49 sets of
attendance shifts for editing.

There are two ways to open the “Attendance Edit” window: and

Step 1. Select Group # (attendance shift) first (or you can type in the group name directly).
Step 2. Select flex time next.
Step 3. Input the time of each attendance shift.
Step 4. Click “Save” to save all settings or click “Text File” to save the setting as *.txt file
(this file can be used for setting in future).
Step 5. Click “Exit” to close the window.

NOTE
Break Out and Break RTN: the period between the two shift will be automatically deducted from
working hours when generating the attendance reports.
※ If the time of "Over Time" is set as 00:00, the time of overtime working will start from the time of
"Off duty". If there is no overtime pay, please set the time of "Over Time" as the time when no more
staff is working so as to avoid salary calculation errors.

Flex Time: in Duty_01 shift (On Duty: 08:15/ Off Duty: 17:45/ total working hours = 9.5 - 1.5 = 8 hr): If
the flex time is set as 30 min, when one employee is on duty at 08:39 and off duty at 18: 39, although
he is 24 minutes late for work, his lateness is within the flex time range (24 min < 30 min) and his total
working hours = 8.5 hr (> 8.0 hr), so he won't be shown as late in the attendance report.

2. Access Control Setting

  If you want to set atendance shifts in monthly table rather than in weekly table, please refer to the following
setting:

First, open the “System Parameters Setting” window by clicking .


Select "Monthly Table".

Next, open the “Attendance Edit” window by clicking or .

Select the designated year/month and edit the attendance shift as you want.

NOTE

NOTE
You can use "Copy to Buffer" button and "Paste from Buffer" button to set monthly shifts more
efficiently. The time shift will be copied and pasted by the corresponding date of each month.

2.6 User Card Edit

  After the settings of door group, time zone, and so on are all completed, we can proceed to set the user data,
including the card ID, access mode, and other relevant settings.

There are two ways to open the “User Card Edit” window: and .

Step 1. User Num (User Number = User Address): each user is assigned a specific 5-digit user
address at which all the related user data is stored in the memory of access controller.
User Address starts from 00000, and the maximum capacity differs according to the type
of access controller. Here it is set as 00001.The Client can edit someone who showed in
transaction log without clicking User Cards Edit on Menu Bar and seeking for the data.
By edit user from the transaction log window, client can access just by Twice-click in
row of each user.
Step 2. Lock: when you are editing the user data, please tick “Lock” to avoid window switching (if
not ticked, when there is a valid card presented to the access controller, the “User Data
Edit” window will automatically switch to the corresponding user data window).
Step 3. Auto Save Card ID: this function is only available when the card is presented at the
access controller of door number 001. If this option is ticked, the card ID (site code and
card code) will be automatically shown in the window after it is presented at the access
controller of door number 001. If a batch of cards are presented continuously, these
cards will be shown at the corresponding user address in an accumulative order, which
allows you to add cards more efficiently.
Step 4. Card ID: 5-digit site code + 5-digit card code. You can directly type in the card ID or use
Auto Save Card ID described in step 3.
Step 5. Access Mode: invalid, Card Only, Card or PIN, Card & PIN for selection.
Step 6. Zone: you can select the permitted time zone (01 ~ 63) for this user or select “ALL” (= not
limited).

※ When you use a H series access controller in M8 mode, please note that the private
password of each user cannot be repeated, or it might cause errors when the access

Step 11. Changeable: if this option is ticked, the user can change the private PIN directly at the
access controller after a valid access procedure when the access mode is “Card or PIN”

1. In this example, User Num 00001 named SOYAL can access Door Group - Group_001 during Time Zone
001, meaning that SOYAL can get access from the Front Door during Monday to Friday 08:15-17:00 and
weekends 12:00-17:00.
2. How to know the function of Access Mode? Although the Access Mode of this user is "Card & PIN", this user
can get access by simply presenting a valid card or inputting PIN since his access level index (01) is higher
than both of the time zone (00) and the door group (00). In this situation, "Card & PIN" will actually degrade
to "Card or PIN". This function is set up for manager’s different requirement of Access Mode during each
Time Zone.
3. Every single User Num could only select one Time Zone, but we can achieve multiple requirements of
Time Zones by LINK function. In this example, the personnel select Time Zone 004 has requirement of two
Time Zones (Time Zone 004 06:30~07:30 that been set to link to Time Zone 001 08:15~17:00), and then the
Controller will judge whether the user has enough level index during these Time Zones.

  For multiple day access, the time limit set is from start date time to end date time.
For example setting the date limit for user no. 2 from March 1 to March 31, time limit set is 09:00-17:00. Because
it is multiple day access, between the start date and end date there should be combined with timezone access.
Example, time zone 1 is a set of timezone for weekday Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri for 08:00-18:00.
That way, User 2 access is:
March 1 (start date) User 2 can access from 09:00 (start time, instead of 08:00 from timezone 1 setting)
March 2 until March 30 User 2 can access according to assigned timezone 1; which is from 08:00-18:00

Example when you have control panel AR-716-E16 + controller AR-721H wiring beneath it

No. 1 and 4 is downloading to the master controller. If you are downloading to control panel
AR-716-E16 (for example) then you select option 1.

No. 2 and 3is downloading to the slave in CH1 and CH2, in your case if you want to download
to AR-721H (for example) you select either option 2 or 3. The difference is: option 2 consider the
sorting out door group if any, meanwhile option 3 doesn’t.

When connection between AR-721-H + AR-716-E16 is connected, database check is


conducted on AR-716-E16 as master
When connection between AR-721-H + AR-716-E16 are NOT connected, database check is
conducted on AR-721-H as the connection being cut and it returns to its controller status. That
means if you download the user data to both AR-716-E16 and AR-721-H, the card can still be
in use during the disconnection (advantage of Fallback mode for emergency user list). But you
need to note that H series only limited to 1000 and 3000 user capacity (user capacity of AR-
721-H is 1000), meanwhile control panel has 16.000 users that way only the first 1000/3000
(depend on the controller) can be used as emergency user list to still have access during
disconnection.

The way to show the “System Parameters Setting” window:

Step 1. Time Attendance Settings: you can choose to set shifts of attendance in monthly table
or weekly table here.
Step 2. Tick these items that will show in monthly report and decide whether the monthly report includes
Attendance data, Salary data and insurance data or not.
Step 3. Add/delete leave type on Report:
a. Leave item means if it will affect non-leave bonus when the staff ask for leave.
b. Deduction item means if it will deduct salary when the staff ask for leave.

c. Report item means once this item is chose, there will be to show this leave type in Multi-day

Step 4. Duty Hours Depends On Office Time or Real Off Duty Time: For example, if 08:30 on duty, lunch
rest is 1.5 hours and 18:00 off duty. Tom works from 8: 03 to 18:30. If choose office Time, duty
hours will show 8 hours in the report. If choose real off duty time, duty time will show 8:57 hours in
the reports.
Step 5. Overtime Duty Base (Min): for example, we set the time is 30 minutes, the state time of overtime
is 18:00 and if the duty off time is 18:29 that is less than 30 minutes, then it will not be calculated
as overtime pay but only display overtime records in report.
Step 6. The function is suitable for factory attendance management; it will automatically deduct meal time
from overtime.
Step 7. Insurance setting is used for Taiwan.
Step 8. Insurance value is only used for Taiwan.

4.6 Attendance Shift Setting

There are two ways to open the “Attendance Edit” window: and .

on System Parameter, there have two types of duty attendance.

Step 2. Select duty group: There are up to 50 sets of Office Hours settings. Operator can assign a group
name for each Office Hours setting. There are max. 20 characters for the group name.
Step 3. Enter respectively On Duty, Break Out, Break RTN, Off Duty, Over Time.
(Note: if Over Time set 00:00, the duty off time will be taken as the start time of overtime. If there
are no overtime pay, please set Over time at 23:59. )

4.7 Employee Attendance Data Setting

There are two ways to open the “ User Card Edit ” window:

Step 1. User Num: Enter User address and the first address is 00001 ; Be advised to set User num
is same as Employee ID
Step 2. Access Mode: Set access mode for user and employee; Invalid mode will be not counted
in Attendance.
Step 3. Name: It is necessary item to be fielded. If the name is empty, it will be not counted
in Attendance.
Step 4. Employee ID: the ID can be customized but could not be duplicated in the system.
It is used to export transaction data to EPR system or the 3rd party system integration.
Step 5. Date Limits: Date Limits: Set card expiry date, resigned employee required to setup expiry date

here, daily and monthly report will exclude resigned employee after modification.

Step 6. Depart. 1 and 2: The department name can be directly edited in the field.

Step 7. Duty#: Select duty group,directly modify the custom duty name in the drop down menu.
*If the executive manager not required to be counted in time attendance report, select [FREE]
at the bottom of drop down menu can exclude specific personnel.

Step 8. Clear one user data: Click this icon, then user data of this page will be cleared.

Step 9. Save: Save all user card settings.

searching result will be displayed in the reports.
Step 7. Only Error Message: if this option is ticked, only the event logs of error will be shown.
Step 8. Time Sorting: when there are multiple controllers, the event logs can be sorted in ascending
order (by time). However, please note that Time Sorting is a rather time-consuming process,
and it will take a while before the sorted event logs are shown.
Step 9. Only 992E Message: if this option is ticked, when AR-401E is connected, only the event logs
of AR-401E will be shown.
Step 10. Abnormal Events Only: if this option is ticked, only the event logs of abnormal events
(refer to step 24) will be shown.

a.Skip while user name is empty: If there is no user name in User Card Edit, the report for
Daily Time and Attendance Report and Multi-day Time and Attendance Reports will not show
the data of this user number.
b.Skip invalid user: If the access mode of the user is invalid in User Card Edit, the report
for Daily Time and Attendance Report and Multi-day Time and Attendance Reports will
not show the data of this user number.
c.Skip empty record of MonRep: lf there are not transaction record someday, it will not
show this day in the Multi-day Time and Attendance Reports.
d.Skip empty record of MonRep: When user overtakes expired date, it will not show this day
in the Multi-day Time and Attendance Reports.
e.Delay On Duty: Once this item is chose, it will only show delay data in the Daily Time and
Attendance Report.
f.Early Off Duty: Once this item is chose, it will only show early data in the Daily Time and
Attendance Report.
g.NEGL Duty: Once this item is chose, it will only show absence data in the Daily Time and

•Daily Time and Attendance Report is generated to display all attendance records of all employees in each day.
•If controller reader set in Attendance mode, Daily .dut report will be automatically generated once there
are someone to access the device.
•if the controller is not set in Attendance mode, the daily transactions will not generate into duty attendance
report. If change the controller mode afterwards, they daily attendance report could not be generated.
•When only the controller is set in Attendance mode 701Client SQL will calculate Attendance and Salary.

Step 11. Ok: Updated and exit. If selected, the field On, Off, Late, Early, OVT and Case will be updated.
Step 12. Reflash Daily Time and Attendance Report: This function applies for after Daily Time and
Attendance Report had been run and Attendance Edit is only modified. We just open Daily

Time and Attendance Report and click the daily duty report file one by one, Attendance result

of new Daily Time and Attendance Report will be counted according new Attendance Edit.

4.12 How to export daily transactions to the 3rd party system for integration
(for example ERP system, Payroll system)

Time Attendance Export Format: 701ClientSQL don’t support 3-shift attendance calculation. The function can
export daily transactions with flexibly designated text file for the 3rd system such as ERP system, Payroll system to
integrate.

Step 1. Click [ Tools ]


Step 2. Click [Time Attendance Export Format ]
Step 3. [Begin Date / Ending Date]: The system export data according to designated date range.
Step 4. Set Date format/ Time Format / Insert Character / Zone; there are total 6 zones and it is applied
for 3-shift attendance system or meal expenses calculation. If you select "Zone" for sorting, the

system will take the first record of each zone and sort the card numbers when exporting the

transaction file.

Step 5. Select Gregorian , Reader ID , Duty Name ( it can be flexible defined)


Step 6. ※Run Time Transfer and Daily Transfer At are limited to select one at the same time and could
not be selected together.

•Run Time Transfer : Once this item is chose, When someone swipe card, the system will
automatically and immediately export this transaction record into TXT text file for the 3rd

party system to use. (Note: 701ClientSQL.exe must be kept running during the periods of

transferring)

•Daily Transfer At : Once this item is chose, and enter XX o’clock. For example, we enter
4:00 am clock When it is 4:00 am, the system will automatically export the transaction record

after 4:00 am yesterday and before 4:00 am o’clock today into TXT text file.

(Note: 701ClientSQL.exe must be kept running during the periods of transferring)

•Repeat Transfer: Once this item is chose and enters the interval time
For the example, we enter “00:10” that mean the system will auto update the message report at

each interval 10 minutes

Step 7. •Fixed Output Pathname: Default path C:\Program Files\701 Client, if you want to change
save path, you can click this item and select the path as desired.

•Fixed Output Filename: Click this item, and enter file name as desired. Then every day
transaction will save in one file. We suggest to enter “YYYYMMDD.TXT”.

Step 8. Select Card ID Format as needs

Step 9. Transfer after Sorting: Once this item is chose, the system will automatically filter the first

transaction and the last transaction of each user while exporting the transaction file and sort

them according to the user number.

Step 10. Set Leading String and Ending String of each row as desired.
Step 11. Assign Door: Only transfer the transaction from the assigned controller reader.
{The function of exporting transaction support all controller readers, as long as there is a

transaction on controller reader, it will be transferred out, whether the controller reader is set

as attendance mode or not.

  The attendance reports can be used for salary calculation, and you can edit the parameters according to each
user first.

The way to open the “Salary Table” window:

Step 1. User: select the user (User Address + User Name) in this “User” drop-down menu.
Step 2. Salary Payment (Hour): hourly rate of the salary.
Step 3. Leave Deduction (Hour): hourly rate of the salary deduction for absence.
Step 4. •1st Overtime Sec. (Min): duration of the first overtime section (time unit: minute).
•1st Overtime Multiple: the scale factor of the first overtime section compared to hourly rate
of the salary.
•2nd Overtime Multiple: the scale factor of the second overtime section compared to hourly
rate of the salary.
•Sat/Sun OVT Multiple: the scale factor of the overtime section on Sat/Sun compared to
hourly rate of the salary.
•Special Holiday Overtime Pay Rate : Salary for overtime hours on special holidays
(rate x basic working hours pay per hour)
Step 5. •Delay Deduction (Min): the salary deduction for late attendance or early leaving.
(calculated in one-minute unit)
•Free Delay Time (Min): the grace period of late attendance or early leaving. If the total
minutes are within this period, no leave deduction will be deducted from the salary.
•Free Delay Times: If the total times of late attendance or early leaving are within this range,
no leave deduction will be deducted from the salary.
Step 6. Nonleave Bonus (full attendance bonus): the employee can only get the full attendance
bonus when the total duration and times of late attendance or early leaving are both within
the limits inputted in the following “Max Delay Min” & “Times” fields.

signs out after the time range.
•Dinner Allowance: only effective when this employee signs in before the time range as well as

  The basic concept of the labor and health insurance report: After the monthly report is opened, it means that
the labor and health insurance has been settled, and the labor and health insurance report will show the amount;

  •Monthly Report: Count one month attendance data of each user including duty on / duty off /leaves/late/

  You can export the text file to back up the user card data for file management or related report process.
7.3 Export User data
  After add new cards, we can export the data to the new text file (. TXT ), which provides an easy way to
edit user data and also can be re-imported in future.

First, please open the “Text Format Define for Card Data Transfer" window by clicking

Step 1. There are 17 fields (A ~ Q) of Item List Sequence. If you don't need some fields, please select "M" in
the fields and these fields won't be shown in the exported file. You can giveeach field a file title
according to your needs.
Step 2. AUTO Import and Download: you can designate a time range and if this option is ticked, 701ClientSQL
will automatically download user data to the access controllers during this time period every day.
Step 3. Download to Controller while Import Data: if this option is ticked, when the user data is imported to the
host PC, 701Client will automatically download user data to the access controllers as well.
Step 4. Item Space: select the separator symbol of exported data. Please select "Tab" as the separator
symbol to prevent mismatch especially when you export .csv file.
Step 5. Select export file path.
Step 6. Import/Export Range: select the range of user data to be imported/exported.
(Note: Import/Export Card Data in 701ClientSQL will be restricted by the range limit here, therefore,
please remind that this range include the Card Data you want to Import/Export.)
Step 7. Auto Export to Text File: you can assign 6 time schedules for automatically exporting User Card
Data to text file. This function is very useful for HR to backup user data.

   If you have to calculate multi-shift attendance like three-shift attendance, you can export the event logs of
theaccess controllers of desired format in text files which can be further analyzed by multi-shift time & attendance
software according to your needs.

※Please remind the daily record of the day must be opened up while transfer each day's time attendance, or the
transffering will got failed.

The way to show the “Time Attendance Format Define" window:

Step 1. Select Begin Date & Ending Date


Step 2. Select Date Format.

Step 4. Select Insert Character.
Step 5. Select time zone. There are 6 zones available for the calculation of three-shift attendance, or

The Setting when the number of designated exporting transaction’s controller


readers is more than 9

When the number of designated exporting transaction´s controller readers is more than 9, we need to set the
operation through Regedit Editor. Add or Modify Regedit parameter: ATT_SEL_READER9 ~ 30;
Designate the node ID of controller that would export transaction data. For example, to export transaction for
controller´s Node ID 77, The value of ATT_SEL_READER9 should be filled in 77 (Decimal) and When cancel
the exporting transaction action, change the value to 0

9.2 Reader Status Monitor


  After downloading data to controllers, now you can use "Reader Status Monitor" function to check the
current controller status, and perform the actions such as open door directly via PC or arm/disarm the designated
controller.

There are two ways to open the “Reader Status Monitor" window:

Step 1. Tick the Node ID of the controller. For example, 002 (AR-716-E).
Step 2. Since there are two readers (Reader 001: AR-721-H, Reader 002: AR-727-E) connected
to AR-716-E, you can choose the desired one in “Reader" field.
Step 3. Read Status: click “Read Status" button, and the current status (door status & arming
status) of the designated reader will be shown.
Step 4. You can enable/disable the arming mode of this reader by clicking “Arming" or “Disarm"
button.
Step 5. There are two open modes for choose: 1. Pulse: the lock will be released only for the
period of Door Open Time and will revert to being locked; 2. Latch: the lock will be kept
released all the time.
Step 6. Click “Open" or “Close" button to control the door status of the designated reader.
Step 7. Click “Open All" or “Close All" to control the door status of all readers connected to the
designated controller. For example, when you click “Open All," the locks of all readers
(Reader 001: AR-721-H, Reader 002: AR-727-E) connected to AR-716-E will be all released.

10. Graphic Animation Software


10.1 About 701Client Graphic Animation

SOYAL 701Client built-in Graphic Animation with Animated Symbol, perfectly combines access control and
various DI/DO status monitoring required by BMS system. The features provide monitoring and remote control
that presents in a graphical manner, allowing manager to intuitively manage and control the status on the site in
real time, and make corresponding feedbacks and actions.

What you can do with 701Client Graphic Animation?

Door Status Monitoring : Monitor door open / close status, alarm status, remote control door relay
on / off, remote arming setting / disarm setting

I/O Status Monitor : Centrally monitor the on/off status of IO devices that need to be monitored
throughout the building

Lift Control : Remote control elevator floor button On / Off

Mailbox Status Monitor : Remote monitor delivering mail, mailbox open / close status, alarm
display when the mailbox is not closed

Alarm Notification : When an event occurs, the graphic picture will pop-up at the forefront to notify
the management staff

Basic Element of Graphic Animation

There are three important elements that create a Graphic Animation feature. It consists of: PIC (Site Plan in
PIC format), Symbol, and POP UP. :

PIC :
PIC file is a format recognized by 701ClientSQL as a composition of Site Plan in JPG file and Animated
Symbol. Before entering Graphic contents editing dialog, you must first click on the existing Site Plan(.PIC).
If the Site Plan is not currently opened, you need to select File > Open Graphic. To create a new PIC select
File > New Graphic, software will open new blank Site Plan and load the JPG file and saved as PIC file format
afterward.

Symbol :
Symbol or Animated Symbol is a set of event in BMP format file that composed of 6 pictures. Each files must
have the same file name with sequential number from 0~5.

POP :

Pop Up is consists of PIC file and events. When a particular event occurs, 701ClientSQL screen will
automatically display and jump to the correspondent Site Plan (.PIC) to notify management in charge.

10.2 Graphic Animation Control Introduction

1. Events
Events are a set of outcome or status shows on 701Client Graphic Animation features. Basically it is a set
of event log in Animated Symbol for in which you could track and monitor per area events are occurring.

2. Symbol Introduction
1.Digital IO
1-1Digital Input Status (OPEN/CLOSE)
Digital Input Status could be a button or card holder like in room control system that control the output

Sequence 0 = OPEN
Sequence 1-5 = CLOSE

1-2 Digital Output Status (ON/OFF)

Sequence 0 = OFF
Sequence 1-5 = ON (animated)

2. Reader
Reader has two events reader status to indicate door open or close and arming & alarming status.
At the same time, 701ClientSQL allow remotely control over door and arming/disarming.

2-2 Arming, Disarming, and Alarming

Sequence 0 = Disarming / Standby Mode


Sequence 1 = Arming Mode (arming mode has been enabled)
Sequence 2-5 = Alarming Event (animated)

2-3 Remote Control Reader


Remotely control reader door status and arming status in Graphic Animation

Off Door Relay = Close door


Pulse ON = Open door in pulse mode (normal open)
Latch ON = Open door in latch mode (short period release)
ARMING = enable reader in arming mode
DISARM = enable reader from arming mode to disarming/
standby mode

3. Mailbox
SOYAL offer mailbox management system specifically made for AR-837-E Series paired with I/O
Module AR-403-0202-IR for each Mailbox, support up to 64 mailboxes and offer details of events,
such as to monitor each user´s mailbox status: letter arrival, mailbox door status open, mailbox open
too long alarming.

Sequence 0 = Standby Mode / Sequence 1-2= Letter Arrival Notification (animated)


Sequence 3 = Mailbox Door Open / Sequence 4-5 = Mailbox Door Open Too Long, Alarming (animated)

4. Elevator
Graphic Animation for Elevator function support force release elevator floor access remotely. That way
admin could directly and remotely enable specified floor access when required via Software.

Sequence 0 = Standby Mode

3. Site Plan
PIC is a base map that used to help locating Animated Symbol position and could be a real map of a place
or venue. Client can create their own Site Plan based on the venue and load it to 701Client. Site plan has
two different format; JPG for the first time reloading Site Plan to the software and PIC when Site Plan has
been set up for Graphic Animation and has been allocated with Animated Symbol and Pop Up Parameter.

3-2 Creating a Floor Plan (PIC)


Design the desired graphic picture according to the site layout.
Picture Format shall be [.jpg].
Picture pixels should not be larger than the resolution of LCD Screen so it the Graphic
Animation will not affect the efficiency of the display due to the zoom adjustment.
Save Site Plan Picture to the path of C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client.

4. Animated Symbol
Animated Symbol is a set of picture that changes according to the device´s status. Because of the
dynamic change in between Symbol following the Events, it is called Animated Symbol.
4-1 Example of a set of ‘Arming’ Animated Symbol:

Each Symbol consists of 6 different pictures that is made out of sequence that should conform to
the Events.
Sequence 0 = Disarming / Standby Mode
Sequence 1 = Arming Mode (arming mode has been enabled)
Sequence 2-5 = Alarming Event (animated)
Example when reader is under disarming/standby mode it shows Sequence 0 picture, when
enabling reader in arming mode, it will shows Sequence 1 picture, and shows Graphic Animation
from Sequence 2-5 in repeat when reader is Alarming.

SOYAL Software included Symbol selections that can be found on path C:\Program Files
(x86)\701Client\PopGra after insallation. Symbol type inclusive on 701 Client: Alarm, Arming,
Barrier, Button, CardHolder, DI, Deny, DO, Door, Duress, Elevator, Emergency, Fan, Fire, Lamp,
Mailbox, Motor, Symbol, Panic, Pass, Switch, Window, Zones.

4-2 Creating an Animated Symbol


Design a set of Symbol in maximum 6 different states in 6 different file
Each set of Animated Symbol should conform to Events in term of sequence.
Symbol pixels can be set differently according to requirement and Site Plan size.
SOYAL software created Symbol in five different pixels 48*48(XS) / 64*64(S) / 128*128(M) /
256*256(L) / 360*360(XL)
Symbol format shall be [.bmp] format with transparent background.

Symbol file name must be following the file name code below:

Maximum Symbol Name is 25 characters and minimum 3 characters; each naming code is separated
with underscores.
The complete file name includes the extension (.bmp) maximum 60 characters.

Step 1 Create up to 6 different set of Symbol, more Symbol created means the status will show
more animation and will be more visible.
For example: Create Lamp in Yellow color in six different pixels.

Step 2 Save Symbol to the path of C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client\PopGra by creating a Folder
name LampYellow (must be the same name with Symbol file name).
Please DO NOT REMOVE the existing symbol in 701Client folder, but instead add
Animated Symbol of yours to the folder.

Step 3 Add / Modify 701Symbols.txt


On the same path, open file 701Symbols.txt´ and add LampYellow (must be the same name
with Folder and Symbol file name)
Please DO NOT REMOVE the existing Symbol Name on this file

NOTE
● First code of filename, folder name, and name listed on701 Symbols.txt must be correspondent to one
another. From example above:
File name: LampYellow_X_XXX.bmp
Folder Name: LampYellow
Listed on 701 Symbols.txt: LampYellow

● If there is a mismatched between the three of it, and also the Type and Size code is
incorrect, it will not be able to load on software and will be showed as
Example: LampYellow_X_XS0.bmp is a wrong format; there is no Type X selection
on software.

5. Label
Label is a marking on Symbol to let user easily distinguish between one and another Symbol, moreover
when there are identical Symbol created on the same PIC.

Example here is two of the same Symbol but functions differently (one for elevator, the other one
for arming. The label helps user distinguish between two functions when operating the software.
Label position could be adjusted either up above or down below the Symbol.

7. I/O Mapping Table


I/O Table Number is a table that contains specific value of DI, DO, and fire alarm on I/O series and
access controller.
Indicator:
1. Control Type :
Point of devices to be controlled to get the monitoring status such as DI, DO, reader
(for door status, arming/alarm).
2. I/O Type :
The type of I/O of the devices going to monitor
Range: Digital IO, Reader, Mailbox, Elevator

3. Physical IO Address / Symbol IO Nr. :


IO Number is a designated number for each of devices´ control type and I/O type. Setting correct
IO Number is crucial as it is differ between reader and I/O mapping. Physical IO Address is the
actual IO number of each Control Type, meanwhile Symbol IO Nr. is a designated number for set
when setting up Symbols, required to distinguish between DI and DO. That is why the difference
for both of it is only required when configuring I/O Series for DO; Physical IO Address start from
0~511, meanwhile Symbol IO Nr. Start from 512~1024.

Step 6. Label: If label is not required, please skip this step. Enter the Label name that
related to the Symbol.

After that, when editing the position, Label will follow Symbol so dragging Symbol

● Label position is following where Symbol is being dragged and positioned on the Floor Plan,

● Label position can only be changed through Label Position Setting only.

1. Sound File
When DI/DO is triggered can be set to follow with specific sound. The sound file can
be assigned to specific IO number.

Sound file will be heard when DI/DO is triggered and only for DI/DO (not for reader)
The sound file is under WAV format
Save the sound file into path C:\Program Files (x86)\701Client\sound
file name should be as followed:

CtlPpxxNNNppppSSSSS.wav

CtlPp = fixed value, every sound file name should begin with `CtlPp´
Xx = Area (two digit, range 00~15)
NNN = Node ID of the device (three digit, range 001~254)
Pppp = IO Number (four digit, range 0000~1023)

After the 701ClientSQL receives alarm message in event log forms, at the same time it could forward alarming
event messages to up to 10 groups of management personnel Emails. All of the messages will display the date
and time, location (controller), alarming type of events such as:

Function Description: When the letter is delivered to the household’s mailbox, the infrared I/O module
installed in the mailbox detects the letter and immediately sends the message to the management computer.
The manager knows which household has the letter through the graphic animation software. The software can
also actively send the message to the third-party system such as property management system for further
integrated applications. The resident can open their mailbox to take out letters by swiping their card on mailbox
reader. The smart mailbox system can instantly display the open/close status of each household's mailbox; If
the resident forgets to close, the manager can assist to remote close the mailbox on the software.

SOYAL 721 APP Function : The user can use mobile phone to control SOYAL controller reader via Ethernet,
721 APP support to remote open the door lock, monitor and display the controller status of arming, disarm,
alarm on mobile phone.
Now the APP can be downloaded on Google store for Android system.

12.4.4 Application 4: 701ClientSQL Supports Dual IPCAM to Capture User Image


Function: Access controller and time attendance controllers mostly use RFID technology to read card, which
can cause the problem of using the card from another person to access the area. In order to solve the security
problem, 701ClientSQL integrate the function of access controller, time attendance controller and IP camera.
When a user swipe a card, press a password or scan a fingerprint on controller reader, the camera can be
active to take a picture for the user action, the picture can be saved to the system for tracking and records,
in which effectively improve the safety of product use and prevent the problem of swiping cards from another
person.

Setting Description

Part A. The 701ClientSQL supports 2 units of IPCAM Setting (Enter Registry Editor on the
computer to edit IP cameras parameter to connect to 701ClientSQL)

Setting Procedures

(1) Create ACCESS (String Value)

Step 1. Go to HKEY-CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > 701 Client


Step 2. Right click on 701Client and select "Add"> "Key".
Step 3. After successfully creating the "key code", rename it into IPCAM0 and right click
to select "New"> "String Value"
Step 4. Rename the string value into "Access" and twice click to edit the string settings.
Step 5. Insert the URL to connect it to 701ClientSQL; if each setting is different, you can
change its USERNAME, PASSWORD and IP ADDRESS.
Step 6. Click "OK" after the setting is completed.

one reader set as Entry by command 20*192# and another reader set as Entry by
command 20*128#

Function: Clean room one-way multi-door interlock controller uses I/O module AR-401-IO-1709R for clean
room one-way multi-door interlock application, not only construction, wiring is simple, but also convenient for
future maintenance, up to 8 doors Control, only need to install door lock, access card reader, door magnetic
spring and horn in each door (this case requires special firmware)
