Prior Task: Research about Mordor and its location, climate and
physical features.
Fantasy Story Writing:
 Plan your story according to the story mountain.
 Create a realistic setting and atmosphere using sensory
descriptions.
 Ensure your protagonist has IB learner profile attributes.
 Add sidekick/other creatures that will help the protagonist reach
their goal.
 Add fantasy elements and consider the theme good v/s evil.
 Use a portal – to transport the protagonist to another world.
 Use as many literary devices (similes, imagery,
personification) and idioms as possible.
 Use Show, Don’t Tell while expressing emotions of characters.
 Use speech marks to write dialogues within the story.
 Use synonym of ‘said’ according to the mood of the speaker.
