 CHAPTER I

1.0. Executive Summary

This study discovers the prepaid load and cellular network that is commonly used as it can

be the most affordable and accessible network. This study promotes and commercializes cellular

network that will help to save more money on choosing what prepaid load to use.

Respondents will be chosen at random from the Nueva Ecija. Data obtained are to be

processed through frequency distribution graphs and tables to show the difference in the number

of times that the cellular network and prepaid load are chosen.

Thus, the most significant number of frequencies is the most used cellular network and a

prepaid load, as this is the most affordable and accessible network available. Furthermore, other

variables are to be considered when coming up with this conclusion. This includes whether they

have other cellular networks and prepaid load in mind, which they recommend and not currently

using yet.

1.1. Mission and Vision Statement

Brings out the best in you, out of the rest of the prepaid loads and mobile networks.

Unite’s goal is mainly to focus on the product’s quality and customer satisfaction. The

objectives to achieve the company’s goal are to have the following:

1.3. Keys to Success

Unite has three keys to success.

1. Purpose. More and more options are coming on the prepaid load and mobile network,

as technology keeps on improving. Thus, people are having a hard time choosing the best rest of

these options.

2. Measure. The key measure of success is customer satisfaction. It is the ability to satisfy

the customer while they are using the recommended prepaid and mobile network from our

company.

3. Strategy. In a world of rapid change and continuous aggressive competition of mobile

networks, their services kept on improving and revising to serve the best of users. Thus, Unite

must continue to survey customer satisfaction and test the effectiveness of the product; to sell the

best from the rest.

 CHAPTER II

2.0. Start-Up Plan

This study finds the budget-friendly prepaid load or the affordable and effective prepaid

load and mobile network at Nueva Ecija.

2.1. Affordable Prepaid Load

In finding the affordable prepaid load, an online survey has been conducted to find the most

used mobile network, differentiate the recommendation of the respondents regarding the most

affordable prepaid load, and find whether they are satisfied or not with their current mobile

network.

The online survey is conducted through Google Forms. Wherein, Google Form is a tool

within Google Drive for creating online survey forms. It is used to create and analyze surveys right

in mobile or web browsers with no special software required. In addition to that, Google Forms

can summarize survey results at a glance with charts and graphs.

After the survey, the data gathered is analyzed through frequency distribution with the use

of Microsoft Excel. Whereas Microsoft Excel is a software program created by Microsoft that uses

spreadsheets, to organize numbers and data with formulas and functions. In this case, the

researchers used the data analysis tool pack in Microsoft Excel to create a frequency distribution

table.

Following this, datas are now presented with a pie chart as this helps show the relationship

of parts to the whole when showing a small number of levels. In this case, the following mobile

networks compared are Globe, Sun, Smart, TM, Dito, Gomo, and Talk ‘N Text. And the result

shows the most used mobile network, it is all analyzed as to why they are the chosen and

recommended mobile network by the internet users here at Nueva Ecija.

Answers may differ as they have different experiences in using their mobile networks, we

will find out whether this study is necessary to be conducted or not. If most of the respondents are

satisfied, then there is no need to find the most affordable and effective prepaid load and mobile

network. However, if more than 30% of the respondents surveyed are not satisfied with their

current mobile network. Then, this study should be continued to help those respondents who need

prepaid load and mobile network recommendations.

2.2. Effective Mobile Network

Unite takes pride in its word when recommending the prepaid load and cellular network

based on the needs and situation of the consumer. Thus, it is a must to find out whether the product

is effective.

First, signal analysis is conducted with the use of nPerf Maps. This nPerf map measures

the quality of the internet connection of different mobile networks in a specific location. It is shown

in the map what network coverage is available in their area, whether that mobile network has either

No Signal, 2G, 3G 4G, 4G plus, or 5G. (Cellular Data Networks in Philippines, n.d.)

Second, a survey is conducted to find if the respondent recommends their mobile network

based on their location. In this case, this is helpful to find the respondent’s satisfaction with their

mobile network and the need to improve this study.

Therefore, with the test and survey, the researcher was able to find out what product is

effective in their area or not.

2.3. Commercialization

With the discovery of a suitable mobile network for different consumers, it is now ready

for market transfer. However, one week before the market transfer will be the classical mind

conditioning.

Classical conditioning in marketing is purposely to get the consumers to associate brands

with a particular feeling or response. Thus, this is a powerful tool in marketing as this influences

the consumer’s behavior toward the product. Whereas classical conditioning helps to generate

favorable responses toward the product from the consumers, even though there might not be a

direct relationship between the products and the consumers. (Team, 2022)

In this case, classical conditioning includes the following information or data to earn a

favorable response from the target consumers:

1. Signal Analysis. This will help the consumers identify whether they are using an

effective mobile network in their location.

2. Top Prepaid Load Options. A list of affordable prepaid loads will be given to show

the most affordable prepaid load for them.

3. Consumer’s Rating. This is also important to give transparency to the consumer and to

satisfy their expectation of the product.

Hence, a favorable response from the consumers will be earned through the use of our data

results in our research and the recommendation of the consumer for our products and services.

Before this, unite are focused on finding an affordable prepaid load and effective cellular

network; the research is then conducted for two target consumers:

1. For Mobile Data Users. Mobile data users who frequently surfs the internet using the

cellular network are one of the target consumers since they are the one who needs a fast

internet based on their location.

2. For Students. In this year of pandemic, online classes became an alternative. Thus,

students who can’t afford or don’t have an accessible WiFi in their area uses mobile

data as an alternative. Thus, Unite bring the prepaid load that is most effective for them.

Hence, data distribution on our target consumers will be applied through social media

posts, stories, and direct messages for potential consumers. And social media like Facebook is

helpful when promoting our product.

Whereas Facebook is a social networking site where you can easily connect to people. It

enables users to share information and keep in touch with family and friends through engaging

with their posts, and of course through direct messaging them using Messenger. Thus, this can

help spread the word about the products, services, and brands, and allows the business to educate,

entertain and engage with the target customers online for a heavily reduced marketing cost; making

this a convenient and effective way of promoting.

Thereafter, our following social media posts, stories, and direct messages contains the

price, benefits, and effectiveness of the product to create a certain expectation in our target

consumers. Since the expectation of the targets consumers must not exceed so it won’t fall into

disappointment. Thus, informing the target consumers of our research’s data will create a certain

level of expectation and only then satisfaction will be met with our tested product.

Overall, commercialization is also as important as finding and testing our product. As the

product is the foundation of our company. However, advertising drives the growth of our business.

Advertising is the best way to communicate to our target customers and make them try the product

from our company.

 CHAPTER III

Solutions are presented either before a foreseen problem or after a problem happens. And

the Unite was able to see the struggle of the students during online classes. Thus, Unite aims on

finding the most affordable prepaid load and effective mobile network for mobile data users such

as students, and teachers.

3.1. Problems Encountered During Online Classes

Cellular Networks play a major part in the problems encountered during online classes.

Some major problems include poor connection, lagging or choppy teachers, disconnection in

online classes, easily running out of data, and no signal. According to our initial survey, 25% of

the students experienced poor connection and 24% of the students experienced lagging or choppy

teachers.

Due to these problems, there is a slight difference if they are satisfied with their current

prepaid load and cellular networks that they are using. According to the data gathered, 55% of the

students are satisfied with their current prepaid load. However, 45% of students are not satisfied

with their current prepaid load.

The students who like their current prepaid load state that they are satisfied because the

prepaid load expires in one month, it has no expiration, it has unlimited data, or the network is fast

in their location. However, most of the students who are not satisfied state that the current prepaid

load that they are using is so expensive and consumes too much data during online classes.

Thus, Figure 3 shows that there are half-number of students who are satisfied and will

recommend their current cellular network as it is affordable and trustworthy to use. However, there

are also half of the students who don’t recommend their current cellular network and have no idea

on what to recommend.

Therefore, this study is to help those who are not satisfied with the current cellular network

and prepaid load and discover the most affordable and accessible prepaid load and the cellular

network to use.

3.2. Signal Analysis

Signal Analysis measures the network coverage in specific areas according to different

mobile networks. These mobile networks differ based on the different mobile ice providers. As

shown in Table 1, there are three service providers here in the Philippines: DITO Telecommunity,

Globe Telecom Inc., and Smart Communications Inc.

DITO Telecommunity has one mobile network—DITO. Globe Telecom Inc. has mobile

networks such as Globe, Gomo, and TM. And Smart Communications Inc. also has these mobile

networks: Smart, TNT, and Sun.

Network coverage differs depending on the location because some areas are too far from a

cell tower. Users might experience issues like: call drop-outs, noise during a call, difficulty hearing

other callers, slow mobile internet, and internet timeouts. Moreover, Areas with slower network

coverage is also called a Signal Blackspot, and is generally defined as a geographic area that

experiences reduced mobile phone signal. (Guide to Understanding Poor Mobile Network

Coverage, n.d.),

In order to understand the mobile network signal, the signal strength (2G, 3G, 4G, 4G+ and

5G) is used to differentiate the speed of connection in different locations. As shown in Table 2, we

can see the year on when the network coverage is introduced, internet service, bandwidth,

Thus, we can conclude that No Signal and 2G coverage have the lowest signal speed, while

5G has the highest cellular network speed.

Hence, as shown in Figure 4, we can see that Globe Telecommunity Inc. has the most no-

signal network coverage in Nueva Ecija. In addition to that Globe Telecommunity Inc. also has

the most 2G and 3G, and they have the least 5G.

In comparison, Smart Communications Inc. has the most 5G and has zero Signal reception

in any area. Meanwhile, DITO Telecommunity is only between 4G+ and 4G.

At this point, we can now recognize which mobile network to use in our location using the

network coverage and the signal analysis in the Nueva Ecija.

3.3. Recommended Cellular Network per Cities in Nueva Ecija

There is different network coverage in different areas, as the performance of the service

provider who provides access to cell towers differs in specific places. As of today, there are three

service providers that the users commonly use: DITO Telecommunity, Globe Telecom Inc., and

Smart Communications Inc. Thus, the performance of the service network in different cities at

Nueva Ecija, Philippines was evaluated.

First, according to Figure 5, there are only two network coverage existing in Aliaga: 4G

and 4G+. The 4G network coverage has a bandwidth of 100 MHz, which can be used for High-

Speed Applications. Thus, the performance of the service provider in Aliaga is great.

However, as shown in Figure 5, Unite does not recommend DITO Telecommunity as it

has no 4G+ coverage networks, and only recommends Globe Telecom Inc. and Smart

Communications Inc. since both have 4G+ network coverage which is stronger than the 4G.

 Meanwhile, Figure 6 shows that Globe Telecom Inc. has mobile networks performing in

2G and 3G coverage networks. These coverage networks are not recommended as they are both

slow, and the internet connection is impossible to function properly.

Thus, Unite does not promote Globe Telecom Inc. in Bongabon City. But only promotes

Smart Communications Inc. as this has 4G and 4G+ network coverage, and DITO Telecommunity

as this also has 4G+ network coverage.

Meanwhile, in Cabanatuan City, there are areas that still have 2G and 3G coverage

networks. Therefore, we won’t be able to recommend Globe Telecom Inc. and Smart

Communications Inc. for those who live in Cabanatuan City, as some areas still have one; even

though in some areas these networks have 5G or the fastest network coverage.

Thus, United promotes DITO Telecommunity for those who live in Cabanatuan City as it

has a network coverage of 4G and 4G+.

Similarly in the performance of network coverage in Cabiao, there is 5G network coverage

of Smart Communications Inc. in some areas. However, some areas have 3G networks too, thus,

we can’t recommend Smart Communications Inc. for those who live in Cabiao as it is not the most

efficient for all users in Cabiao.

Therefore, we recommend Globe Telecom Inc. for those who are living in Cabiao as this

has both 4G and 4G+ network coverage.

 On the other hand, there is a 3G-performing service provided by Globe Telecom. Thus, we

can only recommend DITO Telecommunity and Smart Communications Inc. which have both 4G

performing network coverage.

Next, two service providers are performing a 3G network coverage in Cuyapo, which is

not suitable for online classes. Even though both can also function in 4G and 4G+ network

coverage, the efficiency for all the users in Cuyapo is less compared to DITO Telecommunity.

Thus, Unite recommends only the DITO Telecommunity for those who are living in Cuyapo.

 Meanwhile, there are areas in Gabaldon that have a 3G coverage network. Thus, we can’t

recommend Globe Telecommunity, since 3G is not enough for online classes and internet users.

On the other hand, DITO Telecommunication has a 4G coverage network in all areas. However,

Smart Communications Inc. also has 4G plus a faster coverage network which is the 5G.

Thus, we recommend Smart Communications Inc. for those who are living in Gabaldon.

Consequently, the Globe Telecommunity, and Smart Communications Inc. have a coverage

network of 3G in some areas of Gapan. Thus, even though they also have the fastest coverage

network of 4G+ in some areas, it wouldn’t be that efficient compared to DITO Telecommunity.

Wherein, DITO Telecommunity has network coverage of 4G, which is fast enough for online

classes.

 Meanwhile, we can see in Figure 11 that the network coverage in General Mamerto

Natividad has a consistent speed of 4G in all networks. Thus, we recommend all the mobile

networks for those who are living in General Mamerto Natividad.

On the other hand, Globe Telecom Inc. in some areas has network coverage of No Signal,

2G, and 3G which is not efficient for online classes. In addition to that, Smart Communications

Inc. also has a 3G network coverage in some areas. Thus, Unite can only recommend the DITO

Telecommunity which has network coverage of 4G.

 Next, there are two service providers performing 2G and 3G network coverage in Guimba.

As a result, we cannot recommend Smart Communications Inc. and Globe Telecom Inc. as both

may not be efficient for everyone, despite the fact that Smart Communications performs 5G

network coverage in certain areas. Thus, Unite can only promote DITO Telecommunity for those

who are living in Guimba as it has the most stable network coverage which is 4G.

Consequently, there is a 3G performing network coverage provided in Smart

Communications Inc. On the contrary, DITO Telecommunity has a 4G coverage network in all

areas. However, there is a network provider which has 4G+ network coverage in all areas.

Therefore, we recommend Globe Telecom Inc. as it has the most efficient network

coverage which has 4G+.

 Meanwhile, in Figure 17, we can see that Globe Telecom Inc. has network coverage of No

Signal, 2G, 3G, and 4G in some areas, which is inefficient for online classes. Furthermore, DITO

Telecommunity has 4G network coverage. On the contrary, Smart Communications Inc. has a

faster network coverage of 5G. Therefore, Unite can only promote Smart Communications Inc. for

those who are living in Laur.

Similarly to the performance of network coverage in Laur, DITO Telecommunity has 4G

network coverage in some areas. Furthermore, Globe Telecom Inc. provides 4G and 4G+ network

coverage in some areas. Smart Communications Inc. on the other hand, has 4G and 5G network

coverage. Therefore, Unite recommends Smart Communications Inc. for those who live in Licab.

 Next, as shown in Figure 19, DITO Telecommunity provides 4G service in certain areas of

Llanera. Furthermore, Globe Telecom Inc. has No Signal, 3G, 4G, and 4G+ network coverage in

some areas, which may also be inefficient for online classes due to 3G service performance. DITO

Telecommunity, on the other hand, has a consistent network coverage of 4G, which is ideal for

online classes. To summarize, Unite can only promote DITO Telecommunity to Llanera residents.

Meanwhile, DITO Telecommunity and Globe Telecom Inc. has 4G and 4G+ performing

network coverage in some areas of Lupao. Smart Communications Inc, on the other hand, has a

network service of 4G+ and 5G. Thus, we can recommend Smart Communication as it has the

5. 0. Commercialization

Based on the Oxford Dictionary, commercialization is the process of managing or running

something principally for financial gain. Thus, through bulk buying of sim cards, the researchers

were able to gain profit after selling it in its usual price.

As shown in the Table 3, the normal price of the SIM cards is discounted for greater than

23%. Thus, the researchers were able to obtain the product in prices enough to profit for the

business.

The number of products bought are in a total of 33 pieces with a total cost of goods of

P552.00. However, the quantity of products per SIM card differs according to its availability from

After obtaining the SIM cards (Figure 48), the researchers then sold the SIM cards to

different users who are in need. Thus, buyers are not only students but also workers, parents, and

adults who need a reliable mobile network in their area.

The commercialization is done within the Nueva Ecija. And the consumers common

reasons on buying the product is due to the following reasons: they want an additional SIM card,

their current prepaid load is expensive, or they have a relative who uses that mobile network.

After the commercialization, there is a total of 29 products sold with nine (9) TM, and two

(2) Globe SIM cards left. Thus, based on the computation in Table 5, the commercialization of

SIM cards generated a revenue of P 1,010.00. Wherein, revenue is defined as the money generated

from normal business operations, calculated as the average sales times the number of units sold.
