words)

 Association Memberships
These are professional bodies or institutes that enclosures many sectors
and fields of employment. Usually these have a minimum criterion to be
eligible to be included flowed by a membership fee.
Being a prt of such an association comes with member benefits such as
- Advise and information regarding the field of expertise and interest
- News and updates regarding new changes and opportunities
- Access to materials and resources in the field
- Open doors to experts in the field
- Gives the opportunity to contribute to consultations led by certain
associations

 Conference participation
Several organisations related to one particular sector is brought together by
conferences conducted by professional organisations for their members or
by a third party. These mostly consists of seminars, presentations,
workshops which provides the opportunity for new information and skill
sharing which open doors to new connections in different fields

 Distributing Materials
Marketing activities is a great way to build you network. Promoting
ones products by handing out free samples or as a token of gratitude
would make the target audience aware of their product or services

 Individual Marketing
Individual marketing is the direct contact of a potential consumer or partner
who is interested in the organisation or its products and services. Social
media plays a massive role in executing this strategy.

 Seminar Attendance
Similar to a conference, seminars include the gathering of individuals of the
same interests and is promoted via professional connections and media. It
open doors to meet people of the same interests and include them in the
professional circle.

These strategies should be used to build and maintain the professional network. As a successful
individual networker, the individual should,
- Participate in few conferences and seminars regularly
- Be an active member in the professional association
- Utilise social media and networking websites wisely
- Regularly maintain one-to-one contact with a diverse group of people

Explain your perspective of the situation and give rationale behind it

Provides a constructive suggestion to resolve the issue that suites both

Bring forward alternatives and discuss ideas for a suitable resolution

Compare and discuss the points of every ideas put forward, and
consider which area each party id ready to accept or decline

- Agree
Come to an agreement as to what action will be taken as an outcome of
the discussion

a) Distributive Bargaining
Distributive persistently bargaining on an outcome and usually end up in one
party gaining and the other party loosing. These usually revolve around fixed

What should be taken into consideration when developing policies and procedures.

The purpose is to ensure that all the parties involved has a common understanding of the risks
involved, who and what will be affected and how to control effects of the risk. Proper and
standardized communication will help manage and plan accordingly in a systematic and orderly

Having clear polices and procedures in communication helps both parties to understand each
other effectively, avoiding misunderstandings, and conflicts. It helps to maintain a professional
relationship and convey information accurately to achieve the end goal. Furthermore it also
help resolve any conflicts that would arise.
