Instructions for the user

With this delivery you are receiving a set of high-quality connecting cables for use in
conjunction with the test box for the EDC MS 6.1 and MS 6.4 engine control units.

The connecting cables are used for troubleshooting purposes at the control units listed
above and their peripherals. They are equipped with gold-plated contacts in the mating
area and designed for a voltage range of up to 40 volts.
Protect the connecting cables from moisture and dust.

When performing the various measurements, always make sure to prevent short-circuits,
as these would, without fail, cause irreparable damage to the test box and control unit.

Any improper use, destruction due to short circuit or mechanical damage shall void the
warranty.

No liability is accepted for damage to the connecting cable or test equipment caused by
mechanical modifications or any consequential damage whatsoever that can be attributed
to a mechanical modification or the incorrect use of connecting cables or the test
equipment.

Use of adapter cables

Using these connecting cables, the test box is placed between the wiring loom and the
control unit. The connecting cables connect the wiring loom on the one side, and the
control unit on the other side, to the test box. The signals on the individual control lines can
then be picked up on the test box and viewed using multimeters or oscilloscopes.
