‘The Service at Click firm wish to take over its competitors and for that, aims to engage
every employee in three months taining program. Training programs will not be one ime
affair, not it will be restricted to new employees. The approach is to involve everyone
___The firm offers quality services at reasonable prices and enjoys a turnover of one crore
ina year. It is expected to enhance the turnover to two crore in next five years. To achieve
the mark its necessary to eliminate competitors, which is possible only when they diversi
and has presence everywhere as well as the firm enjoys recognition. Tt has decided to
formulate functional policies and activities that will support their competitive strategy,
by eliciting the required employee behaviors and competencies.
‘The Services at Click firm measured its performance on various training metrics with
‘those of competing firms. It realized that they rest on informal on-the-job training, which
is less effective. It was also found that the relation between employee training and employee
performance should be positive and strong to attain desired results. To further, improve
training and performance relationship, comprehensive package of training programs for
all employees is necessary. Training programs were designed in such a fashion that they
meet almost all the needs of the job. It composed of study material, lectures, audio, video,
ttc. The fundamental focus was on developing employee skills, capabilities, positive atitude,
behaviors, including the need to be customer oriented.
