The notable director, Mikhail Red together with his co-writer and cousin Rae Red,
definitely did some amazing work The great directing skills of Mikhail will give you a
gripping combination of political undertones and a coming-of-age drama. Doubtlessly,
Birdshot is a five-star rating mystery-thriller.

BEGUILING SETTING
The beauty of nature was perfectly projected in most of Birdshot scenes. The warm water
of river, the sunny yellow corn crops, the wide green forest sanctuary for the Haribon – will
give you a chilling view yet very compelling theme.

GREAT CHARACTERS & CAST

Mary Joy Apostol as a 14-year old sensitive farm girl Maya is one of the best assets of
this flick. Together with Ku Aquino as Diego, his father – they were able to portray the
unbeatable love a parent could give to his child. And the two cops, John Arcilla as
Mendoza and Arnold Reyes as Domingo, are just downright perfect for their complex
roles.
